CYCLING ACROSS BORDER AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

We write to share with you an event that brings cyclists across border to Johor enhancing friendship and an opportunity in community service – visit to orphanage

We are invited by Johor Bahru Tiong-Hua Chinese Association, Organizer of the 1Malaysia Carnival 2013 @ Giant Plentong. Guest of Honor is YAB DATO SRI MOHAMED KHALED NORDIN, Mentri Besar – Johor. Lunch is hosted by JBTalks

However, in addition we have initiated the visit to an orphanage as community service. We appreciate all participants to contribute min. of SGD10.00 for the orphanage. All the monies are to be handed to Ms Anna Seet to purchase gifts and/or outright cash donation upon our visit.

There are two options to join: (PLEASE REPLY AS TO WHICH OPTION by Sept 07 2013)
A) Take the coach with bicycle from Kranji (MRT) across the border and return – Min 15 participants (to pay SGD20.00 per person coach fare)- Part sponsorship by JBTalks
B) Cycle on your own/group across the border (meeting point @Shell Kiosk – JB) and return on own bicycle.(FREE)

Brief Program – Sunday SEPT 15 2013
0645hr – Meet at Kranji MRT to board coach or cycle across the border and greeted by Happy-Riders Connect (HRC) friends who will be riding together and lead. En-route to the orphanage shall have brief stop for breakfast. Thereafter proceed to the celebration to meet GOH and after lunch will cycle back to Johor town to disperse and board coach or cycle to Singapore.
Total distance: 40km (+/-)
