Gym Workout/Swimming

Starting next year or earlier we are planning for regular weekly session for Gym workout and Swimming.

Going to a gym workout or for a dip are a hassle to most of us. Many of us are not motivated to exercise on our own. But with a group of like-minded fellas, the desire is stronger.

So, buck up! Let do it! You wil not regret you made the right choice!

  1. Hey Jie,
Wish you were living closer to me. Then we could do a lot more things together, other than MJ and eating and drinking, hehe.

Sometimes I wonder why there aren’t more females chatting here?

  2. Hi Jie,

Are you for Gym or swim?

The nearest point is the Bukit Merah Bus Interchange. From there it about five minutes walk.

    Mary, Aquaerobic sound interesting!

  3. Hi Dan,

Maybe you could show me how far it is when we meet for the Makan Trail west. Your 5 mins. could be my 15mins. Also, re: – preferences, it would be better if its in the afternoon, am not much of a morning person. Just a consideration should there be more takers for the afternoon sessions.
Long time since I swam, no more stamina, so its more for gym. Aquaerobic sounds interesting….but I might drinking in the water in trying to gasp for air,,,,,,,,,Jie

  22. Hi Jie,

Sorry, I completely forgot to show you the whereabout of Safra Mount Faber.

How can I reach you? Will try to show you when we can meet up.

  23. HI Dan & Dolly,

Thanks for your concern and info. I have looked up the club in the street directory, and it did not look too far from the Bt. Merah bus interchange. I will walk the distance when I have the time. Of course the time of day makes a lot of differeence.
Hope this activity works out as the club seems to be very conducive.

  24. Hello Teresah,
Sori for d late response to yr question. I’ll be moving into Blk 63 Tlk B’gah Ht, likely after the new year or before CNY08. Looking fwd to having a good work out with all new SHC-GYM team come 2008.

  25. Hi Dan/others ,

It is timely and I would love to join in the gym workouts as well as swimming but I am non-SAFRA member.

Although,I’m Sporean and I did not have to serve my NS,as such I am NOT eligible to join as a SAFRA member as much as I wanted to.

I missed all the good facilties that you guys enjoy.

I do gym workouts occasionally at Clementi Sports hall gym and swims at least once a week at the pool.

Good to have a change of environment at Mt.Faber SAFRA.

Looking 4ward to this activity next yr.

What has happened to bedminton,Dan ?

    Dying a natural death?

  26. Hi Margaret Chan,

You queried on pilate sometime back in Oct.. Well, there is an ongoing class at 11a.m. on Saturdays at Bishan Sports CC.. The teacher is a physiotherapist by profession.

Pilate is for guys and gals. It focuses on increasing flexibility, agility and strength without building bulk. Makes use of core muscles in all the exercises giving you flat abs.. Hope this info helps.

  27. Hi All

Anybody interested in Aqua Aerobics at Safra, Telok Blangah can call 63773673 to register. They’re waiting for enough people to start a class. Classes will be held either on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.
