  8. To All my beloved SHCians who attended the Party and made the Countdown successful by your very presence, sporting and friendly attitude, and your willingness to “let your hair down” and enjoy yourselves. You have also made the newcomers comfortable and “at home”. My Sincere Thanks to one and all!
    Dolly,
Had I known you were coming I would have persuaded Bira to stay back too. I very much wanted to go for supper with the crowd but had to send Bira home.

  9. Hi Roland n John

TQ v0_0 v0_0 v0_0 much 4 e njoyable CountDown party. Nice n glad 2 hv met some new faces n frenz.

    Hi Eleanor

I look fwd 2 join U n ur running gang on e track soon.

  10. Roland, John & Lawrence, thank you all for waiting so patiently for us from 6 pm till almost 8 pm, never taking a minute’s break for the loo or to break wind.

Eleanor, you beat me hands down at pool so I was only too happy to strip, and if you beat me the next time, you’ll hv more of me to examine. But of xos, the bet cuts both ways. yeah?

BoonLiang, I like yr interest in “family bonding”. So hv you found a wife? Or a mother? Or me, your grandiose grand uncle?

Roland, Dolly did make numerous attempts to reach us but got waylaid to the nature reserve opposite adam rd where she obliged the monyets there to count their fleas which bite & so mattered more than what good tidings 2008 promises……..

  11. Roland,John & Lawrence,

Thank you so much for the wonderful countdown. Enjoyed the party and fun.

Roland,#12 my humble apology that you had to sacrifice ‘supper’ to send me back. Appreciate your kind gesture.

    Rgds,
    Bira

  12. Dear Yew Kwong & Tim

What a compliment to name me a marathon runner and snooker pro, two in one! The actual fact is I’m neither. The only sport I enjoy is swimming and I’m good at it (warning) :)

Yew Kwong – the marathon runner is Mui Keng. I’ll inform her of your interest.

Tim – your opponent is Alina. Yes, she’s a young lawyer but do give her time to grow up, ok? She’s not 45 yet.

Thank you once again for being such lovely company.

    We’ll be back.
    (The Women in Black)

  13. Hahaha, Eleanor, so I stripped for the wrong eyes to see? Well, no doubt she’ll now grow up faster.

Honestly, you gals all came in black which put me in the dark as to who was who. In fact, I wd hv not an iota of doubt that the Bamboo Union brothers had sent their Killer-hands if you all came complete behind dark glasses……………

Will take you on that swim challenge one day
