  5. Hi Gabriella,

As the others are non-members, and I have got something that cropped up that afternoon, I have to give the event a miss.

By the way, could you kindly convey this message to Steven Chan, who happens to be my distant Clementi neighbor who stays near to Sunset Way in Clementi Avenue 5, if he does have an empty common room to rent, and if so, would consider renting to 2 young male NUS postgraduates students from China starting their semester study term in September. The rates are about $700/=per month. Should he be keen in the tenancy, I would appreciate to hear from him. My email address is kentchan2@gmail.com. He has earlier given me his mobile but I have misplaced it. Thanks for your co-operation.

  6. Oops Steven,
So your bachelor’s apartment is fully occuped. Please keep me informed should you stumble upon any friendly neighborhood cohort of yours who whispered to have some spare rooms or flat for rental. I have to explore sources besides the usual internet and newspaper as the vicinity that I stayed in, Clementi West Street, and where you have gone shopping before, have scarce rooms or flat to rent out. This of course pales as comparison to other matured HDB estates as there have about 20-30 blocks in total of Clementi West Streets 1 and 2. Incidentally, the first batch of HDB lessees moved in from early 80’s, where Cantonese soap operas were once the rave of young and older babyboomers there, who flocked home on most Sundays before 9.30pm to catch the glimpse of Hongkong TVB artistes in tear jerkers action.

By the way, please have a peek at my profile, as I have posted some nostalgic comments on the British invasion Fab Four creative experimental rock album, Rubber Soul back in 1966. I seem to catch hold of the album’s creative tracks after one to another replayed in my mind whenever I pass through along that old Malayan Railway track along Keppel Road. The old countryside charms there vividly reflects me the spirit of the experimental tracks ambitiously made out by the Fab Four in their experimental Rubber Soul album, following the huge success of Beatllemania syndrome which hit the shores of England, USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and beyond in the band’s vintage years of 964-1970.

The more relevant band to Singapore is Bootleg Beatles, as they have once performed in the torn-down Hotel Marco Polo in the late 80’s. (The hotel made way for private condomiunium since). I remembered well lead vocalist, Marcus Kaisermann, as he sat down during band performance break and empathise with my singlehood since. He further suggested me to serioulsy explore into local, Malaysian and even inter-marriage, to cultivate, blossom and deepen female soulmate meaningful and satisfying love relationship. His up front and close warm and sincere maternal advice carries me well till to-date, as the shadows of the Fab Four passion in music and how that spelts out in puppy and true love, romance, activity, tours, travel, fun, give-and-take relationship, courting, marriage and communication and relationship skills is still very much alive, current and relevant in today’s family and society context. Enjoy the U-tube music video of Rubber Soul and my thereafter creative and positive comments.

  7. Hi, I am glad I joined this club but I am a new member and I am not sure how to join in the group. I saw number of exciting activities but I feel that those activities are suitable for me as a new member – not easy to break the ice at those activities. Is there a start up meeting or introduction meeting for new members ? As a singaporean and obey to our PM, I need to work. Is there any activities after working hour ? Thank you. Eric
