    Thomas, are you sure you met Veron on that night? Anyway, the gals are very happy that you came and you are willing to learn dancing!

    Steven, it better if you join us in learning dancing. Male dancers is a rare species and you got the height to twirl all the ladies around. Come and join in the Retro dance for a start!

    Lydia, sorry I left your name out. You were pretty quiet that night. Put all the unhappiness behind n resume your vibrant self on the dance floor!

    Through your perseverance, the dances that you guys n gals have learnt bear fruits at the Raffles Town Club.Excellent ! Keep it up!and we look forward to see Lily, being the dance leader with all other social dancers at our next D and D performing LIVE once more.

    Thanks for a wonderful evening and I enjoy seeing all of you dancing but I can’t social dance , but disco dance with no fix steps. It looks like
    ” Dirty Dancing ” made famous in the movie has been revived again.

    Thanks for organizing last nite’s event at this wonderful venue. Must say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to our 4 hosts who’d helped in boosting this event a memorable one too.

    Most of us did enjoyed ourselves,where warm exchange of greetings and handshakes are so evidently seen. It would be great if you are able to hold this gathering on a fortnight basis and I would reckon most of us avid dancers, would be most pleased to join in the fun & laughter.

  15. Terence, this is the first time I am without a camera. My sister took mine for her holiday. I have approached four other to borrow a camera but was unsuccessful! What a shame to miss taking lot of good pix!

Also thanks to Danz for the effort in organising this fantastic social danz night! and Lina for fetching me home. I like the idea of having this ‘Jams n Butter as a monthly affair. Cheers!

    We all had a great time last night with special thanks to the 4 hosts and Dan. It was a refreshing change of venue. There were quite a few guys last night, some new members, so all the ladies had a chance to dance. Veronique, Susan, Nor, you all must come for the next session, OK. I could have danced all night, but my MD say have to send her home as she had to work the next day. You very troublesome lah, Ah Nee.

    Understand dat poor Jonathan kena confronted by other RTC members as they r not hapi wif so many ppls dat he brought in last nite, so sorry abt tis.. mayb deprived them of dancing hor… :) So SHCians, next time, must ks abit, register n chope plc la.. if not hor, next time, gate crashed, kena stranded outside RTC liao.. hehehehe…

    Looks like you have found the receipe for a successful Jams & Butter. I encourage you to use the same receipe for the next Jams & Butter. I am equally surprised. I guess the participants are also equally vibrant. So sad, I have to read from afar. Got any pix?

  21. What a fantastic night last night at Raffles Town Club! 26 dancers signed up but we have almost 40 who turned up.

    We are very happy to have the rest who gate-crashed! The ambience in the dance floor was so inviting!

    We almost have the whole dance floor to ourselves. Some who never dance before did managed to learn to dance. All of us really dance to our heart content!

    kudos to our hosts Jonathan Ong, Alfred Ang, CJ n Cat Yeo who made this night happened! It almost seems like a SHC Dance night!

    We sincerely thanks those who came n joined us for the dance n fun! They are: Lily Ho, Ronald Lee, Gek Kim, Molly Chua, Helen Tan, Gingko, Jessie Teo, James Chan, Bernard Chan n Thomas!

    Shall we have this ‘Jams n Butter as a monthly affair! Let’s hear from you dancers!

    Clementi is so much nearer to RTC. Why do you need to go to Redhill or Tiong Bahru? Peng Peng will be meeting me at Bukit Timah Plaza so you can join her too and I can pick both of you up in my car. Please liaise with her. See you all soon.

    Raffles Town Club should have ample parking. Otherwise park at Corpthone Orchih Hotel directly opposite.

    Otherwise, park at the private estate where there is no white lines along Dalkeith, Harlyn or Cambourn Road!

    I am thinking of going to Raffles Town Club this Sunday, would like to know the parking situation there. I was told if I take a bus from my house, its around 40 mins + (not in favour, timing too long for me), but if I drive, got parking lots or not? Alternatively where can I put my car? Worst situation, whose car can I jump in? he…he…he……pls help :)

    It was s good start, you n Alice are so good dancers and I told myself i must learn to dance as well!

    Being unfamiliar with any dance steps, Mary literally have to drag me out to dance with her.

    See what happen now, I am taking up Rhythm n Waltz on Monday night n Rock n Roll n Rumba on a Friday night!

    Next, there is Bacharach, Meringue, Sambal, Salsa and Fortrot n Jive!

    Yes I do remember that.In fact I was the first person to suggest dancing as an SHC activity and it took off very well, especially under your wings.
    I am still dancing, don’t you doubt that, but nearer home and at places more easily accessible lah.
    You keep on learning and one day, we will get to dance together ok? Disco, R n R, Salsa, Cha cha…..

  53. A tinker isnt quite a tinkle. The tinker(man) fixed it up for her after receiving her tinkle. Then he longed for more of her tinkle which never came so up he climbed the telco post and the wires he tinkered but still he got not tinkle. A few days later he heard wedding bells jingled………..

    We have been to Raffles Town Club quite often, doing social, ballroom and a bit of line dances.
    Alice and I will join you after our Mother’s Day Concert at the Esplanade, finishing at 8.30pm.

    The last time (4mths back), I was there, they played lots of line dance music on Sunday. So now, they have changed social dance music, rite?

    As this Sun is Mothers’ Day, we mite have problems in car parking there. Any other alternative as to where we can park our cars?
