Hello All
Profile: New SHC Recruit Daisy Yeo
Hope my profile finds its way to the SHC bulletin this time, after much figuring out.
I learnt of the SHC from the recent Straits Times article and found it interesting. Subsequently, I visited the SHC website and realised your members are even more so; knowledgeable, with varied interests, humorous and camaraderie is so much alive!
I am Daisy Yeo, in my early fifties and am presently working. I wish I have more time for myself pursuing interests I enjoy and learning new things but with commitments and cost of living these days, I should be grateful of having a job. Nevertheless, don’t think I should put my interests on hold any further, five decades have gone by and too quickly . Time too to slowly wean myself from my two boys who are in their early twenties and I am sure they will be glad to know this. To make more time for myself, I have opted to try and allow the dust in the house to settle down and feel more at home. Let’s see if this will happen.
I enjoy outdoor life and intend to join your cycling sessions and walks. Had opportunities to travel and would certainly like to do more, am interested in food, healthy living and would be interested in anything else which will enrich my life.
Till we meet, hopefully soon,
New SHC Recruit

Hi Daisy,
Welcome to the club. I am new too.
About dust in the house – I was thinking on getting a part-time cleaner when my old one left. Then during a visit to the States, I came across the irobot. Bought one and tested it out at my daughter’s place and found that it really collects dust. It is available in singapore but it costs more than twice of what I paid for. Will write more about it in the forum soon.
Meet you soon.

Hi Hi All
Appreciate your warm welcome and shall certainly look forward to meeting all of you soon.
Yew Kwong: Two events I had missed, that’s Harvesting Durians at R.R.R. – guess will have to wait for the next durian season, n the recent walk by Christina but will not be missing out on your cycling session this coming Saturday! Chose this to be my maiden appearance at a SHC event, aren’t you flattered? Must admit I must get used to the SHC brand of humour.
Hello Mary: Thanks to the encouragement of my younger boy Glenn too! Shared with him the SHC’s forum and showed him some of the photos and he’s all excited for me having fun. He’s impressed with SHC. It’s kudos to Terence’s and his EOs efforts!
Hi there Lina: Glad to know you are into walks and cycling too!
Charles: Will be glad to know you too!
Ming Choo: Thanks for sharing. Have read your posting on Good-by Dust and will check it out! Shall look forward to meeting with you.
