Social Dance Practice Night – 26 October 2008 (Sunday)

Dear dancers,

Our monthly Social Dance Night starting soon. It will be held every 4rd Sunday of the month!emoticon

Having three different dance routines on every Friday and Salsa on every Tuesday every week may prove to be too taxing for us. Miss Maggie Ho understand that we needs practice otherwise all that we have learned will be forgotten!

Location:   Hawpar Techno Centre, 401 Commonwealth Drive, #02-05, Singapore

                  Next to Commonwealth MRT (Directly opposite the Faith Methodist Church)

Entry Fee: S$4.00 per person including drinks

Time:        7.00pm to 11.00pmemoticon

Date:       October 26, 2008 (Sunday)

Take note that we are limiting to 30pax!

Come and give your support, the night is for us to boogie away and not forgetting the fun and enjoyment in sharing our common interest together!

  1. I know what’s line dancing. For social dancing, I take it to mean the waltzes, salsa, foxtrot, rhumba, cha cha etc. ..those kind with fixed steps..eg ..1 2 turn, 3 4 kick, 5 6 twist etc. Does social dancing include “freestyle” dance like disco dancing?..:-)

    What do you mean by ‘freestyle’dancing? I only know there is such term in swimming?

    Hi Dan, I tot in dancing, is the leader who leads and depending on his/her ability to do whatever style, she only follow.

    Is the jam restricted only to her student? If it is open to other SHCians, have we got to follow classroom routine?

    Without doubt the guy should lead, but if the guy is blur then the gal lead and the guy go ‘pengsan’!

    The jam is open to anyone who pay the entry fee. I don’t think Maggie Ho is there to check on our routine. Just enjoy yourselves.

    If the gal leads, it is very aweful & also at times, we are like struggling with the leader and definitefully, your guy will ‘pengsun’ , haha.

    Hi SusanTan, I can’t do dances that comes with a fixed routine lah!! :-) Got 2 left feet and poor memory.:-) Can only do disco as u just need a spot to dance on and wriggle and shake whatever body parts u can wriggle and shake…that’s my version of “freestyle” dance…:-)) Now u know..:-)

    Please take note that our monthly Dance Practice has been changed to October 26, 2008 instead of October 19, 2008.

    This session by Miss Maggie Ho will fall on every 4th Sunday of the month.
