  1. Hi Sock Cheng,

I’m sure you’ll enjoy this trip. Do bring back pics of captivating sceneries and people from your visits to these places. Don’t forget to get yourself a good waterproof camera bag with you if you are lugging your expensive lenses along with you.

    Happy shooting !

  2. Hi Sock Cheng,

I have been eyeing joining you on this photography trip to Indonesia. Unfortunately, I have to get back to my business travels. My guess is you must be an avid photographer to go on this overseas trip.

Indonesia is another nearby country, with loads of beautiful sceneries, wide variety of food and culture. It has many cities and countryside which I think would make excellent and short-term retirement living.

When you return from your trip, I am sure your pictures can be a good insight, into Indonesia’s unexplored places. I am interested. At the same time, we have a number of SHCians who have worked, lived and enjoyed the culture of this massive land called Indonesia. I look forward to your safe journey, and the pictures, of course. Have fun.

Thanks for your reminder on the waterproof cameara bag. I have a camera bag that comes with a cover. Also am bringing some ziplock bags for added protection ;0)

Too bad you cannot join us for the trip. This would be my second trip with a photograpgy group. My first trip was to Central Vietnam in June last year and it was then when I got ‘poisoned’ so to speak. Was hoping to get some like-minded SHCians to come along and spread the ‘poison’ LOL. Such trips are vey different from the usual run of the mill tours, we design our own itinerary and there wil be very little time for shopping….which may not sound very interesting to some…as we will be spending more time explorong the scenic places and the local culture

Am looking forward to this trip and I hope to bring back some nice pictures to share

Do bring xtra towel 4 your camera. It needs to be kept warm at nite as well. M definitely sure you will enjoy all these photography trips. Capturing photos is the best njoyment.

Many members are eager n ready 2 pick up this skill. Perhaps you could consider leading photographic field trips/activities to share your knowledge n xperiences.

  5. Hi Yew Kwong

Thanks for the reminder, I remember the zip lock but never thought of the towel ;0)

Am still a novice in this field but will try to get something going after I get back from the trip. My instructor is keen to do a talk but I will have to work out some logistics with him later.

We do go out for shooting activities around Singapore but these are usually on a impromptu basis by phone calls and e-mails. If there is anyone who is keen to join us do drop me a line at sockie_sg@hotmail.com. If we have a enough numbers we can make this more regular activity under the flagship of SHC
