  1. Lily,

Hou Chong, Suzhang, Norlinda and Lina are going for the cycling.

I am thinking of arranging a dinner at the Tung Lok Seafood (behind MacDonald) after the cycling. Cost around $25, let me check whether if there’s any promotion or discount for senior or anything like that.

    Ah Nee

  2. Hi cyclist,

We always have problem of where to eat after cycling? Most time, we settled for Hong Kong Café nearby, eat until “sian” already and the bill easily chalked up to $20. Why not we eat at the Tong Lok Seafood (behind MacDonald)for a change. Being a frequent customer there, I managed to talk to the manager to give us this special Menu at a very special price. Once in while we must pamper ourselves with sumptuous meal and be happy lah!

Calling all cyclists who love to eat, Steven Chan, Charles Chua, Tian Soo, Boon Liang, Yew Kwong, Carly, Molly, Dolly, Renee, Daisy, Gingko, Veronique, Janet C and Huat Huat Huat…….hahaha……like night market “lelong lelong” :)

  3. Hi Lily and Ah Nee,

Wow! dine at Tung Lok, used to patronise them when I was with my previous company.

I love to eat and enjoy cycling, so, include me, pls.

    Cheers!
    Veronique

  4. Hi Ah Nee @ 4,

Sounds a good deal for $25 Nett for so many good variety of yummy dishes and Tung Lok is very well known.

Unfortunately, I am having Pot Lucky Dessert @ Mary Chan’s home on the same day from 3pm to 7pm.

As such it is impossible for me to be present at 2 different places at the same time .

Otherwise, I am sure to join all of you for both cycling and the sumptuous dinner. @ T.L.

  5. Ah Nee

U know well that I love eating. I will be away at Bintan as a volunteer at cycling event, Tour de Bintan from 20 to 22 Nov 09. Hope the Indonesian meal compensate my loss at Tung Lok.

  6. Look like a perfect combination – cycling + sumptuous dinner especially at Tung Lok. Missed my free dinning at Tung Lok after I left my regular job.

Book me for the event. Thanks.

  7. Yew Kwong,

The restaurant is always there, we can eat again another time.

So far those who are cycling + dinner are: Ah Nee, Suzhang, Hou chong, Lina, Veronique & Steven Ng. I assume Lily will join in too, how about Jade? Norlinda is coming for cycling but cannot eat, sorry hor, you makan your favourite “Rojak” lah. The rest has yet to response….

    Ah Nee

  8. Hi Ah Nee

Of course I will join in the Tung Lok dinner. Very good of you think of this arrangement. Hope Jade can join in too.

With Douglas not feeling well and YK going to Bintang, this month’s cycling will be led by ladies only : Jade, Ah Nee & Lily.

  9. Ah Nee Nee is considered cheap (sorry lah! I mean the $25/- net dinner)
Regarding the menu, the last item is Deep Fried red bean pancake. Very ‘the unhealthy’. Can ask them to change to cut fruit or not. In fact all so high cholesterol. Old man
    ‘kia see’ you know.

No hard feelings. I just want to stay healthy after you put on the post of being alone and feeble. You really frighten me. So better be healthy and stay strong. Hahahaaaa !

  10. Pat Lee (SJ),

You cannot be in control of your own destiny, how long you live, is already written up there, not sure where? hahaha……eat also die, don’t eat also must die, so why bother? aiyo once in a while won’t kill you lah. If you want fruits, I buy for you at the Hawker centre when on the way back to Bicycle Kiosk, can?

    Ah Nee

  11. Hi Ah Nee,

Exactly. Why bother? If I were at this yummy dinner, I will stuff Patrick Lum peh peh like I did here in HK at Yung Kee’s.

PATRICK, have a life! Just eat till you die. Gosh! All your talk about nothing’s permanent (totally agree), so, why the frigging fear?!

  12. Hi naive Patrick Lee @ 13 and 14,

Aren’t you contradicting yourself when you say
eat also die, don’t eat also must die, so why bother? when you give advice to Ah Nee when you yrself is “kia si”

And so 1 piece of deep fried red bean pancake will not make any difference.

After all death is imminent and it is unpredictable for all of us. There is no escape. So why scared ?

  13. Aiyah! Nee Nee, you said eat also die don’t eat also die. Better die a full ghost than a hungry ghost. In SHC, I only listen to Nee Nee.

Ya! my Honey Ting, you and Ivy Low also killed me with the goose ‘bishop nose’ in HK. If I die, you cry me a river OK, darling. Hahahahahaaa!

    LeePatrick

  14. Of course, Darling Patrick………will be there to give you a good send-off. Kekekkeee.

Yes, better to die a full ghost; now you are talking.

Like Steven said, 1 piece is not going to make a difference. One sneeze and it’s gone!

  15. Dear Carried-away Foggie,

Your lovely, sweet wife IS the one and only. I will never ever be YOURS! Good grief, how gross! I am your younger sister (Mai), remember?

Aww….Steven is NOT a lum ngo loh and definitely not envious (of you??!!) Don’t flatter yourself. He is the sweet, handsome Datuk (still can’t get over his Padang shirt……)

  16. Ah Nee #13, ya why bother?? Do you remember what Ivan’s said in his email? Here’s an extract:”According to Mayan mythology, the exact time will be 21 Dec 2012, 11:11PM Universal Time. The Planet Earth will go through a re-birth cycle …… whether the Human Race will go back and re-start from stone-age or ice-age or whatever….” …. so the time is near and we will be gone….how true? Nobody knows until the time comes. So, dont look so far or worry too much till we are old & feeble & boh gay… eat now!

PatLee #12, so you still want to eat ?

  17. Hi Patrick Lee DJ ,@ 18 n 19 / Geraldine Ting.
@ Lum peh peh, kekekeke …

Make Geraldine no:2 ? Fatt Tore Teak Moong ,
    Lum More Low Leepat

StevenC full of envy??? Envy of what? I pun tak tahu ?
Why ? I find no reason to envy.
That’s yr private life Leepat and you are mature enough to do what you like. Mo Arnk Tie ( NO Eyes to See )

Ya lah! 100% Agreed with Geraldine kekeke that Patrick Lee is over-flattering himself far too much to the point of almost no return.

I think he is v. envious of my Padang shirt that receives
sincere appreciation from the gals. Ha! ha! :)

  18. Yes, Steven,

Basically, he is a goner…………very whatever.

Anyways, want to meet up for coffee/etc and itching to give you Cantonese lesson. Kekekekeeee. Your tongue will absolutely be twisted when I am done with you. You want??
    Kerkerker………

  19. Suzhang #20

Sure Suz, I want to eat. Can I choose a part of you to eat, hahaha! Pls include me in the dinner. Thank you Nee Nee and Suzchang.

#8. EO, Long-sighted eyesight huh! The SHC member who want to join is STEVEN NG, STEVEN NG, a man with charisma and really good-looking not (steven chan). Please correct the mistake.

It is sad that some people do not know what is ‘blowing in the wind’.

LeePatrick. (Flexibility in life is to look into the mirror and see if the mirror accepts you. Many a times the mirror cracked and people do not know why.) – Thought of the Day.

  20. Hi Geraldine Ting @ 22,

Ah Nee, sorry to borrow yr. thread.

Geraldine ,sure why not. We can meet up for coffee, at the Coffee Club @ Tiong Baru Shp Centre, a quiet place with a “homely” atmosphere to chit chat and relax at the sofas.

I will appreciate very much too if you could call along some gals and guys whom you too would like to meet.

    Hi Leepat @ 23,

I think what you mention “Many a times the mirror cracked and people do not know why.” is very appropriate to you.
    Kekekeke!

  21. Hi Ah Nee

Yum yum….good food and company after cycling – how to resist. Please count Albert and I in.

As it is raining season now (seems like anyway, with so much rain these few days), will the cycling be cancelled but makan go ahead?

also, will the restaurant mind us going in with our T-shirt and shorts and smell?

    Thanks !

  22. Hello, Dear Lily n Ah Nee.

I and Agnes Yong would be joining on 21 November 2009 for the cycling but not for dinner at Tung Lok.

    Hoping for nice weather. Cheers.

  23. Hi Maggie,

The cycling post has put up this:

‘Activity will not be cancelled even if it rains but will be brought indoor to turn into chitchat session’.

I don’t see anything ‘not proper’ by entering a restaurant in shorts & T-shirt, as along as our pocket got plenty of $$$$$$…hahaha…….about smell? everybody have their own unique smell, LOL :)

    Ah Nee

  24. Ah Nee is right. Nothing improper. As long as u hv $$$ if not be prepared to wash dishes after the meal. Smell of sweat is usually odourless. Moreover it’s your business that they care most not how u come in. Those who owned bikes pls request for valet parking service.

  25. Hello Sockie,

Enjoy yourself in Vietnam! Never been there, have been thinking and a gf here in HK wants to go, too. Will wait for your feedback.

See you soon…………can’t wait – short hair, please. Kekekkee.

  26. Hi cyclist,

I have made reservation with Tung Lok Seafood for 1 big table which can accommodate 15 pax, if the number of diners increases to 20 pax, then I will change it to 2 tables intead of 1 big table.

Those joining for dinner after cycling are:

Ah Nee, Suzhang, Hou chong, Lina, Veronique, Steven Ng, Lily, Jade, Maggie Teo, Albert, Gingko, Rene, Ricky Wong & Patricia Wong. So we have a total of 14 pax as of now.

    Ah Nee

  27. Geraldine #34

I look forward to meeting you too and rest assured I will have my hair cut short short so that you will not pensang when you see me kekekekek

    Sockie

  28. Hi Ah Nee

Yes, I heard your call and thanks. Afraid will have to miss both cycling and dinner on the 21st.

Have fun! Catch up with you sometime. Maybe at Amoy’s?

    dAISY

  29. Hi Lily and Ah Nee,

Can register me for the cycling and dinner this Sat?

Thanks. Also would like to suggest 2 tables of 8 if possible, should be more comfortable than squeezing 14/15 to a table. Also you sure we can wear shorts and sandals to Tung Lok? Don’t want to cramp their dress code.

Cheers, looking forward to dinner. Will try to get more to make 16, or do you already have enough?

  30. Hi Charles,

Right now is 14 pax, including you will be 15 pax. I booked a big table for 15 pax, but if got more people joining, then I will ask for 2 tables lor.

Tian Soo, doctor advise no jogging for you, how about cycling leh…….cycling can shed weight (kilos) also!

    Ah Nee

  31. Ah Nee

I know cycling is good for me but Tung Lok will make me fat.
Cycle without eating is no fun.
Cycling I can stop on the way, eating is like sex, once start cannot stop.

  32. Tian Soo,

You still have to eat for dinner right? Aiyah…..we will tell you when to stop eating lah. Those “ho leow” (good stuff), we eat lor, vege & tou foo for you lah…hahaha…..

    Ah Nee

  33. Hi There,

THOSE WHO REGISTER FOR DINNER, PLEASE KINDLY TAKE NOTE :

DUE TO SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT BY AH NEE WITH TUNG LOK RESTAURANT, THE NUMBER OF PAX ONCE CONFIRMED, NO LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION PLEASE. THANKS FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION.

    See you sooooon. :)

  34. Hi Lily,

I may have to leave around 7.30 pm due to some urgent matter. Please cancel my dinner.

However should I be able to stay if the matter resolved, I will stay for the dinner. Will let you know on the day.

If this arrangement is too cumbersome, you may treat it as my cancellation for the dinner.

    Inconveniences caused deeply regretted.
