Yes. I am a dog lover. However, my beige bulky chow chow pet dog cannot walk too far or he will die of heat stroke.Too much of undercoating.
Why the breed’s name is called chow chow ?
Not smelly in Cantonese .
Long time ago, the chows were reared by the imperial Chinese palaces as guard dogs. When it gets overpopulated ,it was being used as utility dogs for pulling sledges and that explains why they had such heavy undercoating and thick fur.
As they gets more and more overpopn , they were eaten as food and chow chow means food in Mongolian
And he is very DOMINANT and does not like other dogs near him. So I can’t bring him kai kai with your Jack Russel, a highly enrgetic dog. However, “cowboy” an 8 yr, old dog loves kai kai and he wakes me up every morning at 6.30 am for his morning walk.
At home he sleeps like a pig. Eat ,sleep eat sleep bcos at home nothing to do ,VERY BORING lah. Dog born in the year of a PIG.
However, at Clementi Town his favourite spot and sometimes at West coast Park Mc. Donald , he is very ALERT and bouncing with life.
And always looking 4ward to his walks every day. And the early Morning daily exercises have kept us both FIT and HEALTHY.
