I went to our Chinatown a few days ago; got to say it was rather quiet. I could walk from one end of Temple Street to the other end of the road within minutes. Think I shall go there again to get some water melon seed.

So important it is to have world peace and harmony. I share this prayer. Yesterday, my wife and I made our yearly ritual to celebrate the beginning of the Tiger year.
This morning, we will visit my parents-in-law in Korat, some 350 km from Bkk. Back for the day.
So, I wish everybidy a great time in Singapore with friends and families.
And yes, when I am back next week, I shall also visit Singapore Pools. Any good numbers?

RWS opens its doors at 12.18 p.m. today and so marks the beginning of a new world for us. Time will tell whether Sporeans will love or regret this day.
A mad rush into the casino is expected. Wonder how many security men will be needed to check whether an entrant is barred, and whether that queue to pay the $100 admission will stretch all he way to genting.
And then when the 24-hour admission validity expires, how these same security men will find them as there will be at least 5 who shd get the boot every minute. It’s not easy to ask a losing gambler seeing his ass luck reversed, to leave. Will they look under the table to ferret out those hiding?
No worry……..havent we been wishing each other Happy New Year? Mayhem notwithstanding.
