  1. Hi Joan,
I’ve always wanted to visit Ayers Rock … ;)
Would appreciate more details about this packaged tour:

    1. The tour price of approx. SGD 3200 – I assume it includes land transportation. Does it include taxes, fuel surcharge…
    2. What airline?
    3. Which part of May? Hope it’s the last week.

If the itinerary is ready , appreciate if you could e-mail it to me at kdaae2005@hotmail.com :)

    Thx and cheers,

  2. Hi Jassmine

I will send the itinerary to your email address. The price is all in with airfares from S’pore to Adelaide to Alice Springs and return from Alice Springs to Perth to S’pore. Yes, also includes land tours, all meals except 2 lunches etc.

The outback tours are usually quite expensive compared to farm tours etc. I too always wanted to visit Ayers Rock.

The tour is planned for 1- 8 May. My friend mentioned that she needs to have bookings by 13 Feb – not much time. So those interested, please hurry. So far only two of us. I will reply directly to those interested, giving my friend’s contact.

    Cheers

  3. Hi All

The deadline is up and due to poor response to the tour the organiser is cancelling it.

I still hope to visit Ayers Rock one day, maybe next year. Maybe I will source more assistance thro Aussie contacts when I’m in Perth.

Yes, anyone visiting Perth, can meet up when I’m there from Mar-May.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all
    Joan

  4. Hi Joan #3,

I am sure you will make it to Ayers Rock one day. I am off to NZ and Melbourne next week, followed by a week to Perth the following week.

Although my tummy is still recovering from the operation, I would like to have a game of golf with you and Peter a week following 5th Mar. We can have a good chat too.

  5. Hi Terence

Certainly Ayers Rock will be 1 of the places I will visit in Australia though there are many more places still unexplored.

Since returning I manged to play golf a few times with 2 SHCians, Norlinda and Yoon Chin. I enjoyed their company and the courses we played at and hope to make it a regular activity when I’m in S’pore. I am keeping a golf set here for that purpose. The only thing is to adapt to the heat and so like to play in the cool mornings.

Regarding my hubby Peter, he had a fall recently (putting up curtains) and is recovering well. Do feel free to visit and chat before you leave for your next trip. I will be in Perth from 16 Mar so will still be here till then. Email me directly.

You are also welcome to join in our next golf game with Yoon Chin and me on 22 Feb. Not sure about Nor. Hope she is free to play too.

  6. Greetings Joan and Gong Xi Fa Cai.

Talking abt Ayers Rock, and until we are there to join you for some fun & frolic, we have to content with the rocks falling from trucks strewn all over the Ayer Eajah expressway.

Once, I saw some little boys picking up these ayer rocks……I suppose they must have returned from OZland without packing home some original and authentic ones……..

(Thanks, Joan, for this breather, rushing off for a teleconf meeting…….very the stressed lah).

  7. Hi Tim
I appreciate your comment – provides interesting relief to the usual though I admit I’m not sure I get all of what’s supposed to be.
Gong Xi Fa Cai and yes, relax…….lah.

  8. Thank you Joan=W for not frowning at my impertinence. Well, there’s no more meaning in it than in a plain reading.

Hope to visit the Ayers Rock soon to give it a Spore flavour by turning it into another Ayer Rajah Xpressway or Telok Ayer market, and then invite Jeffrey to hold his rock n roll class there……must be fun to rock on a highway with heavy trucks rolling by.

    G’day !
