  1. A 4-liner intro, short and sweet but they do beg for some answers like :-

    1. I am over 45, definitely.
T : By “definitely” you’re playing the judge and jury in one go. Need you to produce yr IC as proof.

    2. I love line dancing, singing, bowling, outdoor activities.
T : Great but greater to have you as the next EO for these activities. So for this reason, the need to check yr IC is dispensed with. Start organising the activities you say you love. No sweat, yeah?

    3. I value friendship and enjoy interacting with people.
T : While friendship certainly exists in SHC, do be aware that the letter “r” does sometimes drop off from this happy word as gossipers prepare you for the next meal.

    4. I would like to find friends who could walk with me to a healthy lifestyle!
T : Do join Chris Chan and her walking group. She’s s nice dame with a mouth for good sip of aromatic brew, not brewing gossips.

Last but not least, welcome ME-L !

  2. hi Tim,
    (2) What is EO? When I say “love” I mean I “enjoy” but not to organize it. I make a good supporter!
    (4) Yes I saw her in the blog about walks every 2nd Saturday. Good job! She says walks are always on, rain or shine! I like her commitment.

  3. ME-L,

“EO” you dunno meh? It means Event Organiser and he is usually an Extraterrestrial Object, a newbie, seeking a home in the newfoundland.

From yr reply, clearly you want to be an Eng-eng Onlooker. Cannot one lah, newbies must organise something first. Even if you dont organise nothing, you’ll still have to do something great such as to pasang in a hide-n-seek which will next be held tomorrow at Hans. You must at least find 10 and name them all b4 you’re conferred full membership.

Yes, Chris-C, the EO for Walks. I like her for more than her commitment. I like her bcos she carries the we-market basket with her at her Walks. I’d tobang her to buy me live chicken and crabs. Sometimes she spills her contents and starts to run after them. You can imagine how much fun you get watching people in a “dou seh lor hai” and “chou gai” (canto) frenzy.

Btw, the rain or shine jingle is the dictum of Tew Kwong, a hunk who has the atheletic prowess to run Tiger into the Woods, minus his addicition for sexaphone.

  4. Hey Henry

First of all Welcome to SHC. Secondly, how come your profile is in Mary Elizabeth Lim’s profile? You potong jalan like that one uh?

Certainly glad to hear you are on SHC FULL BOARD ! Glad to see familiar ‘old’ faces. As you get older hor, more difficult to make friends la. What with our set ways and shy ways, very paiseh to approach people to talk when there are so many people around you !!! You, a newbie, already so active. Good for you ! Glad to know also that you have given up smoking !! Please keep it up !

Also certainly glad you decided to jump on board at the 11th hour and joined us on the Phnom Penh trip. You and Cat Yeo made the trip more fun and memorable !

Last but definitely not least – Welcome Mary too. Hope to see you sometime soon.

    Cheers…..
