Take note that the event (dinner and Karaoke) is now on 2 Apr 2010, Good Friday. **

We are still waiting for more to join us for a night of fun, dining, singing and dancing. The place was booked solely for us and a minimum pax of 30 is required. Failing to meet this number, we will have no choice but to cancel it.

For Buffet Dinner and happy hours the cost is $26.00 nett for 30 pax. If we hit 40 pax the cost is $25.00 and it will be at $24.00 when we have attendance at 50 pax. The lounge will not charge us extra if we have more than 50 pax.

Those coming for dinner only will be charged $12.00 nett and the minimum number of 25 pax is required. For those coming for the happy hours, the charge will be for $6.00 NETT $12.00, $13.00 or $14.00nett depending on the number of pax attending.

  4. Well, Dan-H, it’s heartening that more are signing up but with the inclusion of Anne & Karen, you’re still light years away from the elusive 50 target so looks like you will have to sell harder, yes HARDER, hehe (and Joy, you know what I mean).

    The other day, in btwn k’ok, I played pool but a kiddo no older than 5 played the fool. He kept taking away the balls I aimed to dogeng and putting them elsewhere. Hopefully, that boy isnt yr Godson and so he wont appear on the Chanting Nite.

    Let me join in the guessing game. I dont think he is Pooja. Dont think he is Steven. Give up. Who is this godson? Cannot be me, too old to be your grandson. I would have loved to join this event, but again unfortunately, I shall be in Australia again.

    Regarding the venue of this Safra Toa Payoh event, are you referring to the lounge which you once showed me with the sofas, snooker tables, bar tables and high stools. And, there was a screen with karaoke facility. Is this the same venue?

    I will be selling the event tickets tomorrow at the monthly gathering and hope that more will participate. Our minimum pax for the Buffet Dinner is 25 and for the happy hours is 30.

    Since the inception of SHC many of us get to meet new friends and enjoy the various activities planned. Quite a few smaller group are formed where they get to meet and have their regular meet at jamming or meals or trips to Malaysia and elsewhere.

    We hope that this open event will encourage those who have missed out to come and meet other member of the Club and therefore help the Club to flourish!

    You echo the sentiments of those who love to sing and express their emotions. What with serenading our love interest it also helps to sing away our blues.

    Our own ‘Rod Stewart’ will be there and also a court jester to humor us.

    Join us to meet new friends, the lounge is good for us to relax, listening to our own home grown singers or just chit-chat. and the pool table waiting! Many may have the idea that it is a karaoke room, no it is not, we have booked the whole Ktv lounge for our own private function.

  22. Yes, our very own husky “Rod Stewart” is missed. Nice to have him with us again, and usually this Cantones opera songstress will come along and back up with her sweet voice.

    If we can get him into a high – not easy tho – “Rod Stewrat”‘s rod can also skewer………once he chased me all over, from the bushes to Hans and then back to the bushes.

    Seriously, I wished i have a handgun.

    Each time I am down at my office block for a puff, I see gals in high heels, twisting and walking without going anywhere right in front of the guys.

    With a handgun and a sniper’s good shot, I can break one heel and see a more refreshing show off : how they hobble.

    Must enlist you to help sell the long boxes, a biz I am contemplating seriously of doing when I retire.

    Ok, on the refund. I need to tell you that I sourced my financing from the geylang ah loong son Mr Lee. He charges daily interest of 500% so be ready to welcome a porky head hanging outside your door with its tongue sticking out to greet you in the morning. Hehe.

    Seriously, happy for you………not abt the ter tou but your dogged persuasiveness, dodging no one or any qn.

  28. Sorry, I have not made myself clear about the $2.00 refund. Originally if we hit the 50 pax, it will be at $12.00 per pax for karaoke and happy hours. Now we enjoy the rate at $12.00 even without hitting the 50 pax. Not sure you folks understood me here.

    I would like to clarify my comment at #36. If you have only signed up for dinner and decide to stay back for the Karaoke on that day, you will need to pay the additional $12 on that day.

    For those who have already signed up for dinner and Karaoke, you will have to pay $24 by 25 Mar 2010 as we have already made a booking based on your commitment.

    The owner at B Box KTV informed me this morning that 3 April 2010 is not available for us and has slotted us for 2 April 2010, which is Good Friday.

    For his oversight he will give us a 50% discount on the entry charge. Now the rate for kaorake, dancing and happy hours is $6.00 instead of $12.00 with free flow of soft drinks from 6.30pm to 1.00am!

    The buffet dinner catered from Mouth Restaurant downstairs remains at $12.00 per pax.

    Some of you have asked, so we are making it clear here – the buffet and Karaoke are both changed to 2 Apr 2010, Good Friday.

    Do let us know whether you are able to come on this date. For those who have paid up and cannot make it, we will return you your $$$. But we do hope that you can join us still.

    And if you have not signed up, you may do so too. Pl note to make payment by 25 Mar 2010 to Joy’s POSB Savings Account given in the post.

    Fyi, I paid total $28/- to you at the mthly gathering ie $14 for myself & another $14/- which I paid first for Rose. If you said cost for happy hrs only is $6/pax then total amt I should pay you shld be $12 only for 2pax. As such you should refund me total $16 right and not $2/-.

  78. Dan-H, she is a lovely lady to all of us, and loving to you and you only. So there’s nvr a danger that she’ll put you in hot soup. You’ll be sayang with a lot of hot baths even when you dont want them. At bedtime and in btwn sleeps, she’ll still order you to go for that hot bath you initially looked forward to but now hv developed a phobia for. (Continuing like this, you can be made into a hot curry puff out of so many hot baths, hehe).

    At this Age, you still lug that club? Why dont you join them for the april golf tournament, nvm tat you hold a different kind of club.

    If they dont let you hit the golf balls, you shd know what yr club can do. With yr kind of club, you can chase Tiger into the woods and he’ll nvr dare come out again…………..For sure, you can do more to amateurs.
