Bhangra classes

Hi all
Thanks to those who came for the Bhangra try-out!  The lady instuctor had quoted me for the classes (see below).  Venue for holding the class will be charged seperately. She prefers to hold the classes at CCs.  I have actually checked with my CC and they don’t rent out classrooms.  Perhaps some of you may have other suggestions.
  • Cost: $70/hr for 5-7 people or $90/hr for 8 people and above
  • Duration: 1 hour is the average time most people can handle for bhangra aerobics
  • Day: Saturdays are good and time is flexible and will be decided by participants
  • Venue: CC would be best choice or alternative place if you can find
Thank you and have a good day!

The Fee – S$70/hr – 7 person , so each will have to pay $10/session??

If u are looking for CC , then they will take a certain percentage off the fee ??? Sockie should be able to give u a clearer pic of holding classes in the CC.

The fee is abit too expensive. I tot the last u told us was $70/month and share by 7???

Why cant we have the class at the same place??

  2. Yes $10 per pax. Hv to add venue charges as well. Yes, I think it is expensive. This quote was given by Dil who is the female instructors at the session, I can always go back to ask her if she could lower the price. She did not say why she prefers CCs, maybe they want to keep the place we went for their own functions.

    Wait for Sockie to reply.

If the course has been approved and run by the PA, then the instructor will be paid a fee according to PA regulations and policy.

For booking of room such as dance room you only paid for the fee such as $20 per hour for the room. Not all CCs have rooms for booking. You may check at: http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal.portal?_nfpb=true&_windowLabel=CRMSPortal_1&_urlType=render&_mode=view&CRMSPortal_1_action=RBMFacilityPublicBooking&_pageLabel=CRMSPortal_page_1 for the facilities available at various CCs.

  7. Sorry to report that there is not much progress so far. I don’t think the instructor is very reliable, she has not replied my email for weeks and she has not called as she says she would and there is no phone no listed on their website: http://singaporebhangra.com/Welcome.html

I even tried calling the Sikh Center (got the 2 phone nos from their website), one of which is not working and the other, no one picks up.
