Monthly Weekend Walk – Kallang Riverside/Helix Bridge-Esplanade

Day / Date : Saturday, 12 June 2010

Time : 4.30 pm – 6.00 pm

Venue : Stadium MRT Station Exit A

One of the more scenic route, we will walk along the Kallang River, starting from the Indoor Stadium, round Nicoll Highway, onto Marina Promenade Park, passby F1 pitstop, Singapore Flyer and finally up the new partially completed Helix. Those staying for dinner can gather at the nearby Marina Square Foodcourt.

  39. Not to worry. It’s quite a short distance.

    This morning when I do my daily jogging after going through the Bayfront Avenue and Helix Bridge I take the F1 Track instead of going through Nicoll Highway which is my regular route back to home. You find that Marina Promenade is scenic and appear peaceful especially it is facing the Kallang Basin. There are few people compared to Nicoll Highway where I have to squeeze myself with the cyclists who are mostly construction workers cycling to their workplace in the Marina area.

    The entire walk`s view was really awesome and spectacular!!!

    Some of us had chanced upon Duck Tour Bus landing from “sea” from “land” it was such a close encounter for me.
    Personally I had not been on the Duck Tour Bus.
