April Monthly Gathering

Hi All,

I had decided to keep to the same date (14 April) as proposed by Terence earlier for April gathering and it would be seating/standing kind of arrangement at the MPH cafe.   Details as follows:

Date : Thu, 14 April 2011
Time : 4.30 – 8.30pm
Venue : MPH Cafe (Robinson Road) – affectionally known as Terence Cafe

Food and beverages can be purchased from the cafe.  Kindly note that no outside food is allowed at the cafe and sincerely hope that all members will abide by this regulation.

Pls use your SHC name tag if you are given 1 before.  If you don’t have 1, it’s ok – a sticky label will made for you.  This gathering is strictly for SHC members and registration is compulsory as we do not welcome any gate crashers for this meeting due to the limited capacity at the cafe.  Kind cooperation towards would be much appreciated. 

Agenda:

  • Meet up with old friends and welcome the new members.
  • Share with us on your views and experiences
  • Any interesting events that you are keen to be EOs – Do let us know.  It is always fun to be a EO just for once.
  • As there is Wifi at the Cafe, pls feel free to bring along your laptop to share with us on issues/ difficulties that you have encountered with regards to the SHC website.
  • Any other issues that you may wish to be included in this mtg..

Looking forward to meet you there on 14 April 2011.  In view of the space constraint, we would stop registration upon reaching 50paxs.

    I was debating whether to go to the Men’s Night or this Monthly Meeting… Now I find out that it’s an April Fool joke!

    Tian Soo: You’re so, so devious and hilarious! Mongolian ladies, indeed… and how many of them?!

    Haha, now I must support Dolly and put my name down for the Monthly Meeting! It’s Thursday, right?

    Thanks for the offer, however, I dont think I am able to slot timing for any talk as this is the 1st time that I had the mthly meeting held at the MPH cafe which had a limited seating capacity.

    Are you the one that will b giving us the talk which is much prefered. If not, we will have 2 look from case to case basis. You can write to my email address dlgummy@hotmail.com for further discussion. If possible, we will try to slot in our May gathering.

    I hope you won’t cancel this event as I have dutifully opted for the Monthly Meeting over the Men’s Night!

    If the Monthly Meeting turns out to be lukewarm you should get Tian Soo to bring over his Mongolian beauties to spice up the event.

    Now with nineteen registered to come and with a dozen more guests coming with Tian Soo, I am looking forward to a rollicking good time at the cafe!

    Tian Soo had earlier said dat his offer ended April 1 liao.. so now, hor, if I ask him again, he will probably try 2 scout 1 dozen of ‘lau cheo bu’ from bah-bah countries lor.. to cater 4 d targeted headcount…

    FYI, had decided 2 go ahead wif this mtg regardless of how many headcount attending liao…

    However, once d aircon is shut down by MPH around 7pm, not sure if all attendees will feel like that u r being ‘roasted’ bo lor? hehehehe :) BTW, I think it shd be quite cool if attendees’ list is around 20-25paxs region lor..

    Last, but not least, pls be patient with Cafe’s service should we r slow in processing the drink/food order hor..

    manage to convince my client Lion’s club to change their booking for thursday 14th to 18th Monday as they are a big group . Can I still register to come . Outside space also can.

  25. Hey, do you know that Jeffrey didn’t want me to go but I insisted on coming. Gate crash if I have to…. hehehe…. Well, actually I have a lesson to do on Thursday. Since it starts only at 7.30 pm, so I guess I can still appear for a couple of hours and have some good times with everyone present and then leave early to beat the rush hour jam. So, here we come !!!! irene .

    Yes sometimes I have dementia but most of the time I have dyslexia. I will get more of these as I grow older. I hope impotence will come last. Preferably my last act.

    Car parking charges at both SGX and Robinson Centre is $2.50/entry after 5pm onwards.

    Bus# ply around there is 700, 128, 162, 167, 131.
    Nearest MRT stn is Tanjong Pagar…

    Thank you very much for the almost full attendances for this gathering. Appreciate your understanding for the limited moving space. I personally liked the atmosphere of this gathering and most of them are able to share/joke on everything. We had a couple of newbies’ intro which we were unable 2 do so if held at Hans.
