First beginners guitar group gathering, Fri 15 June 2012

To all beginners guitar learners,

I am not sure how to start a place for guitar beginners.  Let’s try one, and then we see how it works, before moving on.  I like to invite you for late lunch at the MPH cafe, along Robinson Road, from 1430 to 1600 hrs. Please come along with your guitar. If you dont intend to, I shall bring mine.  Let’s see how much fun we can have from the first gathering.  It doesnt matter if you see me make a fool of myself.  The idea is to see how each of us at doing and encourage one another to keep learning.  Repeat, the key is to encourage one another with learning "How to play the guitar".

Hopefully, we can have an amateur guitar group very soon.

  • Place:  MPH cafe, along 63 Robinson Road.
  • Time:  1430 – 1600 hrs
  • Date:  Fri June 15, 2012.
  • Lunch:  Members of the beginners guitar group invited for lunch.
  • Note:  Bring your guitar if you wish.  Not necessary.

Please let me know if you can come.

    Cannot come on that day as have registered for the IT interest group meeting which fall on the same day and time. Sorry. Will try my best to attend the next time.

    This group is for guitar beginners. We had a good start today at the cafe, helping beginners peer support to carrying on learning “How to play the guitar”. We would have another one a month later. Hopefully, end of the year, all beginners can play at least one song.

    May I suggest you and other fellow Ukulele beginners gather together and have its own support group.

    May I suggest you do a search on Ukelele on this website; and you would find other interested players.

    You can also initiate a beginners Ukelele group. Start a new post and you will start the ball rolling. Have fun.

    Out of curiosity I entered your SHC website to determine whether I could still do it. To my surprise, I am able to, meaning technically all along my membership inside SHC has been retained. Thank you very much for retaining a fickle like me on your membership list. From now onwards I’ll continue to enjoy participating in SHC activities like business as usual.

  15. Hi Terry and all members,

    When someone joins SHC, the membership is for life.

    Sometimes, we may be disturbed by other fellow members, perhaps over some comments. At the moment, there and then, we do get agitated; and feel that SHC may not be the place or the club to join.

    However, the club shall still keep your membership; and anyone who has asked to leave the club, is always welcome to join again, anytime. No one is fickle, we are just human.

    But, this said, the club takes a serious view over members who flout the rules on politics, sex, race, religion, direct selling and MLM.

    Welcome back and join the fun. We only have another 40 years to live.
