SHC D&D

Hi everyone,

I’m Eileen Lee and am a new member to the club. Am looking forward to meet each and everyone of you at the D&D on 24 Mar.

Very nervous and excited at the thought of meeting members whom I have not seen or heard.

Nevertheless, I am going to enjoy myself on that night.  See all of you there!

Regards

  1. Eileen,
Many of us have never met one another. You can be sure everyone is a SilverHair.

Mingle around that night. It’s free seating. Come at 5pm, and the evening begins. Share your interests, and probably, this is a good start.

  2. Hi Eileen, welcome on board Terence’s Ark. Everyone is looking forward to meeting everyone so everyone is as nervous and excited as you’re. Some of us may have been some kind of honchos sometime somewhere or totally unheard of, unheralded but in Terence’s Ark, we’re friends and only that matters.

Yes, do please enjoy yourself at the D&D, and perhaps, timely to gently remind that there’s a corkage charge after the 2nd bottle.

  3. Hi Eileen,
( Many of us have never met one another. ) So do I.

This is my true testimony and my personal observation and nOT cheap flattery which I despise most.

    1 )

When I was at the SHC potluck gathering at ECP for the 1st.time , I was so amazed to find the SHC members being so warm towards other NEW members like me.

Initially, I hesistated going because I thought I might feel uncomfortable in such a new orgzn like SHC but I pulled up my courage and went for it. I NEVER regretted joining SHC eversince.

    2) On the 2nd. function chit chat at MPH Bavaria restaurant, the feeling was even more esctatic.Members were sharing common interests and hobbies and talking abt “feng shui” as well.

At 7pm, a big grp of us (abt 20 ) went for early “lo hei” at Outram Park to celebrate CNY in advance. Here I could feel that the male and female members were treating one another as “brothers or sisters” even joking or poking fun at one another. Something,I hardly expected when we hardly know one another well.

The element of caring, sharing and concern was deeply felt in my heart. And since then , I am looking forward to SHC D and D and thanks Terence our most SPORTING leader and his comm. members for their BRILLIANT ideas setting up this very successful organisation which had benefitted many of us.

TERENCE, all eyes are set upon you at the SHC D and D. Ha! Ha!

  4. Hi Eileen,
Welcome to SHC… That’s right, everyone is as eager as you do meeting new friends, who knows you might bump into old schoolmate, long-lost friends, etc etc…

Ah Liu, corkage will waived for all wines la… Corkage charge after 2nd btl refer to hard liquor lor… Dolly

  5. Eileen like ah liu pek meh, only drink free beer at coffee shop………….she’s stylo, ok…….

Dolly, I will keep a bottle opener in my pocket and charge half price to open anyone’s bottle at chomp chomp then bring in back to the ballroom……….simple. Want join me to make some easy money? I wait at chomp chopm, you transport the bottles to & fro, hehe.

  6. Din know got lobang making ez money at Chomp Chomp. Liu sen, can I come n join U? I hv different openers 4 stout, beer, liquor, wine n soft drink. Besides, I can double up as “coffee maker” n “laptop sitter” at their request. Cheap cheap svc minus gst (even when gst increases 2 7%). hahaha

  7. Yew Kwong, like me, you’re the die die type so pls come join us, esp with yr bicycle, Dolly wont hv to rant & pant transporting the bottles and tripping over half……….

Then, with the $$$, we buy up chomp chomp, build the tallest bidg in spore on it……………then list our company as a REIT……………..then we buy over SGCC………then we make an offer for the entire S’goon Gdns to sell us en bloc…………..wow, cant wait to open the first bottle.

  8. Eileen, welcome to SHC. Here you will find all kinds of characters, noisy, loud, quiet, opinionated, sophisticated, simple, humble but there is no lack of fun, warmth and friendliness all around.

  9. Wow!!! After reading all your comments, I felt so wonderful that a bunch of brothers & sisters in SHC are full of fun, warmth, cheeky with words and friendly etc, etc….
Well… I am really looking forward to seeing all of u this Saturday.

  10. Aiyo, must read all these comments then know we are wonderful n powderful meh…hehehehe

Looking forward to see you there this Sat…

    Cheers… Dolly

  11. Eileen, you look forward to see us, we also look forward to see you but let’s set down the rules first, Can see cannot touch hor.

At 1.92m, Steven is probably the tallest & so I can easily see & know who he is. If we want to become young again & play the hide-n-seek, then he’s likely to pasang & pasang again & again…………..maybe still pasanging long after we hv all left for home.

  12. Eileen,

It is NO WONDER that after reading “Liu sifu” (Chef in Cantonese) daily specials. You felt WONDERFUL to know there are so many “WONDER WOMEN” (not Ah por) and “WANDER MAN” (?) in this Silverhairs “wonderland”.

  13. Ring-a-Rene 2888 times and I’ll still say this : liu sifu, no problem but liu sigu, very big problem. Even if we can overlook the affront to norm for a male to be a sigu (or nigu in mandarin), surely you cant expect ah liu to embrace celibacy when he hasnt given up embracing what matters to him more?

Yes, what big difference the next letter of the alphabet can make.
