Colmar, 2-4 Nov 07 (Fri-Sun)

Hi all, yours truly is the organiser :-). I really really hope I do a good job :-))). Thanks to those of you who hve given me the "jia you". :-)) This is what I intend to do: Aug: first 2 wks…..look around for tours/packages to Colmar. 3rd wk ……….selection of travel agent, confirmation of tour cost etc. 4th wk………..post on website with all the confirmed details for members to confirm participation. 11 members hve so far either confirmed going or "chope" seats :-)). …anyway, the more the merrier, the more the "siower" :-))…hope to get same no. as the Batam trip. Those of you who know of good travel agents/conductors, special packages to Colmar etc etc, pls do let me know. Thanks. And btw, I hven’t been to Colmar.

  12. Wow I see the nos. my adrenain shot up!! :-)) and dear Andrew, u are such a “how pang so”..”nee chengde hern pang”!!!:-))) hope u understood my mandarin :-)) fo info, Malay was my 2nd language all the way from Pri 2..highly recommended by the “lao ser” :-))
    Just this morning was reminding the tour conductor to give me the plan and cost for the 3 days 2 nites getaway. I will keep to my planned schedule, ie towards end Aug to give u all the details . Thanks much fellow members for the patience. Thanks :-))

    Glad to see your comment (37). Actually, I am June Lim (maiden name) Chin is my married name. My parents took the easy way out to name me June when I was born. No regrets, I still love my name and we do have something in common besides exercise.

    Me born in Malaysia and live there 18 yrs, b4 coming over to S’pore.

    My mum said she wanted to abort me but Die Die also want to “tau toi” in spite of having 8 in our family.

    Although I have 2 sis in laws from Penang both are hokkien nang. When we meet in K.L.we speak English very seldom Hkn.

    As such I cannot spk Hokkien becos in K.L. , Cantonese is the “in thing”
    I predict Gombak win 3-2 with albirex liao………

  30. Yes,whn I first saw your name, I made a mental note to look out for you :-)))U born in June? Me born in Apr named June Chan and later got married and now am June Lim :-))). But my son is Lin….he was born at a time whn the govt encouraged hanyu pinyin surnames!!! shouldn’t hve been so obedient then :-((…Both of us has 1 thing in common…exercise…u jog in Botanical Gardens, I brisk walk in Sembawang ;))).     Yes, there’s a Colmar in France. This is a replica that’s why the name Colmar “Tropicale”. Will forward our ‘inner circle – Batam group’ emails on this subject to you. You should hop on board this time since you missed our Batam trip.

    If you are looking from budget constraint standpoint, WTS can nvr be a choice for selection as they are always much higher then other agents. I also been travelled with WTS b4 and truly, theirs is definitely more professional compared to others. But price wise is always $5 – $15 difference depending on location. What I know is that they are very good at Kuantan trip lor…
    Hope this info can be of some help lor…

    3 cheers to you for volunteering to be the organiser for this trip. To show my support, please put my name down as I have never been to Colmar, Malaysia. Just for your info you might like to check out the prices from WTS Travel as they have tours to Colmar by coaches and usually pickup is one point at the East and one at the West. Have been with them for short trips and find the guides quite professional. There my two cents worth! Hope it helps!

    Colmar, abt 30 mins from KL, with abt 260 rooms/suites & tucked away in the hills of bt tinggi has enough activities to keep everyone occupied…..games room (thot it has a few jpt machines in there), courts for basketball, badminton, tennis, snooker, k’ok…..horse riding, pool….

    Moustachioed VTan will only be too pleased to welcome this boisterous group of silverhairs and probably will sign up on the spot as a life member.
