“HEART” ROCK CONCERT “COME TOGETHER” – Sat 16 Aug 2008

Come join in to celebrate the Singapore National Day celebrations "NDP08" (FLC 12th anniversary)  concert  to be held at:

  • MARINA BAY FLOATING STAGE
  • SATURDAY, 16th August, 2008
  • Tickets $10 available from FAMILY LIFE CENTRE, 167 Geylang Road #03-06 (Near Lor.3),Singapore.
  • Pre-concert entertainment @5.30pm to 7.30pm
  • Main Concert  @8.00pm to 11.00pm

This is a STAR-STUDDED entertainment, featuring songs from the BEATLES by more than 15 top  celebrities, such as international entertainer ANITA SARAWAK, nominated MP EUNICE OLSEN and former Speaker of Parliament TAN SOO KHOON, as part of the NDP08 celebrations.

    I’m not sure if I will be able to attend this concert on 16 Aug., but I would like to bring your attention to another concert “Singapore HeritageFest 2008: Sound Stories 1” which will be held on Saturday 26 July at Zouk. It will feature bands like “Gypsy”, “Trailers” and “Jive Talking”, including Rahimah Rahim.

    Cost is $15/- (excluding Sistic’s charge) or $18/- if you buy the tickets at the door on 26 July. I would appreciate it if you could please check out the full details and put up the post as I am unable to do so. Thank you.

    Thanks for your infor. I have known about this Fest at Zouk on 26th July. I have been to this Fest last year, also hosted by Brian Richmond, and singers like Vernon Cornelius, Robert Fernandez and others. Had a bad experience, even having tickets on hand, had to queue up early to enter Zuok, on top of that seats were limited, 90% standing room throughout the night, thereby would have to give a miss. If you intend to go, please be an early bird.

    It wasn’t that I was unable to write a new post..I did not write a post because I cannot be the EO.

    For what it is worth, I still think that it would be worthwhile to attend this Heritage Fest Concert at Zouk because it is not easy to get a chance to see Gypsy and The Trailers perform in public.

    I have found the misplaced 15 tickets. Now I think we have lot of extra tickets.

    Of the 15 tickets you bought for me, 6 tickets for Lina Ng and her buddies. Three tickets for Clara, Gingko n Annie, that a total of nine.

    Two tickets for Rene and pal, two tickets for Douglas and pal. Two tickets for John Seah and Eunice Koh, total 15. Two tickets for Susan and James. Now i lost track of what for who!

    Tickets must be collected, as on that date (16th Aug) it will be difficult, with immense crowd, it will be hard to locate one another. Moreover, members may feel free to attend one or both sessions, if so wish.

    WOW, With so many activities planned within SHC, I really have to study the dates so carefully as not to clash.

    As the concert is this Saturday, thought I better ask now as the days will just slip by. Please advise how and what time the members are meeting. I could only make it for the main show as I will be coming from a practice session, but cut it short if need to. Would like to sit together for a Ra Ra Good Time.
