A walk along the rustic Changi Point coastline is not to be missed!
Changi Point provides a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A charming boardwalk takes you through lush greenery and undulating terrain along the rugged
western coastline, while a meandering waterfront walkway along the eastern beachfront creates
an interesting tropical experience of sea and sand. Viewing decks and pavilions along the way
enable you to pause, soak in the sea breeze and enjoy the excellent views out at sea.

The Changi Point Coastal Walk is divided into six segments, each with its unique experience :
– Sunset Walk, has beautiful view of the sunset, hence its name
– Kelong Walk, reminisce the good old kelong days as you tramp on wooden stilts
– Cliff Walk takes you through the rugged western coastline
– Sailing Point Walk, enjoy views of the sailboats and the expanse of the sea
– Beach Walk, a relaxing coastal walk along sandy beaches, along the way pause, soak in the sea breeze and enjoy the views out to sea
– Creek Walk, appreciate the views, sights and sounds of the bumboat activities ferrying the public to and from the offshore islands.

At the end of the walk, those who wish to have dinner, there’s the Changi Village hawker centre where there are various food stalls,

  7. We had a picture taken last night at the monthly gathering. It was held at the Gallerie at Marina Square. Good view of the city from outside mainland Singapore. Food was normal, as with any good foodcourt.

Definitely, we saw plenty of empty places. But, for some reasons, it is difficult to talk and hear properly. Maybe it was the glass windows, or we were all talking too loud.

For those who took the circle line, Marina Square is convenient. We may hold another monthly gathering at this place, if we cannot find another.

I had put up a picture of one of the late groups. Picture was contributed by RonaldL. Somehow, my eyes are not good, so I tend to see blur faces. But, the content was important, and so I decided to use it. Or maybe, the blur faces were due to Samsung smartphones. Nowadays, few people carry cameras.

I look forward to seeing you come to the gathering. Sam Huat was there, a lot fitter and better looking than before. He kept his word to come. Good seeing you Sam. And of course a few new faces to me. Zara Lim, Karen Peh, Caroline Sit. And glad t see all the noisy ones too.

please get some “natural tears” to cleanse your eyes :D

  9. Hi StevenC,

photos have not been uploaded in this website for a long time as there was no picture manager mah…
However, just noted we have a NEW picture manager who just came onboard, I suppose.

Some members have posted some picture in their facebook; perhaps you need to activate “as friend” to view pics.

Let me check … will phone you when I have more info.

    Regards,
    ChristinA
