Healthy Cooking Made Easy Culinary Class – Aug 23, 2008

Dear Budding Chefs and friends at SHC!

I have received some positive feedback from fellow SHC members for us to have our first cooking get-together . emoticon I did consider doing this the “cheaper” way but decided to take the “no fuss” way out instead of having to impose on anyone, to wreck their kitchens or have to go through the hassle of getting all the ingredients and having to clean up afterwards!  Erks…just the thought of it!

We only have to pay a fee ($50 per pax) and we get a fabulous goodie bag worth $150 (which includes a limited edition Brandt mitten and apron set, a Scanpan umbrella and potholder plus $100 cooking class gift voucher from a renowned cooking school inlcuding a lucky draw!  I know the chef, she’s actually a client of mine as I design most of her marketing collaterals.  She’s got a wonderful cooking studio too near Portsdown Road.

Anyway, details of this class :

  • Venue : Copthorne Kings Hotel, 403 Havelock Road
  • Time : Session 1 at 11 am – 2 pm or Session 2 at 4 pm – 7 pm (let me know your preferred timing too)

Please confirm by August 8th so I can get the seats booked as it is first-come-first serve basis.

We will get to sample dishes which includes Zucchinni Parcel – King Oyster Mushroom with Mesclun Salad, Pan Seared Wild Ocean Trout with Tofu & Honey Kumquat Sauce and Chocolate Mousse with Strawberry Jelly!

In this way, we will have more time to mingle and get to know one another, especially for those of us who are new to SHC.  I would love to see all of you face-to-face for a proper introduction.  It will be nice to put a face to these emails.  So, those of you who are interested, please leave me a comment with your preferred time and contact details so I can do the coordination with you offline.  Oh, and the good news is if I can round up 15 pax or more, I can get a 10% bulk discount.  Please extend this invitation to your other Silver friends too! emoticon

Look forward to getting some positive feedback and have our first cooking meet on Aug 23rdemoticon

Cheers, Diana

Wonder how many of you out there shares the same idea that Life begins only at 50!? :) This is that phase of our life where we want to ponder and reflect on what we have achieved so far. Did we do well, relatively well or are there is more we can do?? And I'm hoping that through this platform, I will be able to link up with like-minded individuals to share some experiences, exchange ideas and to see if there are possibilities for us to add more value and excitement to each other's life through our exchanges and sharing. I work for a publishing company and is responsible for business development. Outside of work, I enjoy the nature, outdoor activities like golf and swimming. Cooking is one of my life long passion and I love all things concerning food! Never had the opportunity to make it into a business or be a celebrity chef yet but quite happy to whip up a meal anytime for my close friends! :)
