  1. Hello Cheow Weng,

A practical philosophy of life in the fast lane
Living life within the very portal of our ability with
right attitude makes for happy living.

We fail to live the quality of life by our unrealistic
yardstick. Many are pressurized by peer culture and
go into overdrive, losing ourselves in frivolous pursuit.

The living world of human indulgences and kiasu mentality.
A simple life of kindness, care, love, sharing and compassion will lead to happiness of self rather than to
“LIVE AS IF WE ARE NEVER GOING TO DIE AND WE DIE AS WE NEVER LIVED”.

We succumbed to our own delusion of the one and only precious life which can never be re-lived.

    HAPPY LIVING !

    Cheers

  2. Haha, ah Weng, ho ma? Ho loi mou kin dou lei, somg san yan goi huh? Eee kah ha san chut lei kong yeh so? Tiu gou lei……….heee. Seriously, nice to read you again.

So long as this good earth sustains life, this cycle of “san, lo, pan, sei” will continue. One just cant stop the rut to philosophise cos the world wont be sympathetic and will leave him behind.

There’s this lady gorgeous who shares a weekly column in the ST. She writes well and you can read that she’s resigned to who she is, that she will always carry a label born out of her pedigree and that if she could choose it differently she wd. But good for her and the folks people will be quick to connect her with, she is relating her life to the masses.

Using her awakening as an illustration, my point is, we cant change life, who we are but we can be closer to folks who need our attention more, those who arent able to themselves right their grievances. We dont need to fight anyone to do that but help them out of their throes to our level best…………….

  3. Hi Tim #2

In her article she mentioned about a poem IF by Rudyard Kipling. If you can dream – and not make dreams your master, if you can think – and not make thoughts your aim, if you can meet with Triumph and Disaster – and treat those two impostors just the same………..

    Bdw, on a new subject………UOB $7.00 coming?

    cheers

  4. FredaLim, of the local banks, I like UOB best…….it’s well managed, with a track record to back. Unlike another bank which believes in angmotuaki, got a few foreign talents helming it in quick succession but at the end, it’s still run by a local-bred.

Well, this financial crisis is really worse than I hv predicted, and with billions & trillions rolled out like many do with toilet rolls, the beating will take a while. But I still think that if you hv that bit more money, accumulate UOB at its low, not too much, a lot or 2 at each buy and wait. To my mind, stability in the banks shd come at year’s end (I did predict earlier that the depression shd bottom out in the last Qtr 2009 altho people will remain depressed for a long long time more after this blood-letting).

Caveat emptor tho…my ex made $ taking the reverse of my positions.

  5. Dear Chow Weng,
