Monthly walk: SG 6th newest nature park

Our monthly walk is on 2nd Saturday of the month unless otherwise advised.

This is an EC activity; feel free to bring your adult friends who are over 45!

Date: Saturday, 13 MAY 2017.

Time: 4.15 pm SHARP!  Do be punctual, we can’t afford waiting time. Thanks!

Meeting Point: opposite BreadTalk at Junction 8 Shopping Centre/Bishan.
(MRT Station: Bishan NS17 or CC15)

Duration: Approx. 2.5 hrs

EC : Azhari Cuttilan

NOTE: in case of inclement weather — Azhari will notify through the comments,
do check this blog for his comments on Saturday morning.

Let’s hike along restored trails and new boardwalks lined with rare native plants
as well as a marsh habitat and several freshwater streams with fish swimming and
other fresh water wildlife, all found within the park.

A 4m-high sub-canopy walkway that extends 150m, allowing one to see the fauna
found above the ground.

Some of the park’s low-lying areas could be muddy.
Terrain – some parts slightly steep, though most parts easy.

Toilet facilities is available at Visitor’s centre, which will be within the trail.

Bring water bottles, caps, umbrellas and cameras. Do wear comfortable walking shoes.

    We were very lucky the rain as passed before we started off and we were able to cover all the loops of Windsor park.

  2. Weather Gods aren’t friendly today, there is intermittent rain in Bishan.
    We will continue unless there is heavy rain/thunder & lightning. Please bring your umbrella or poncho.

    2 words nature park trigger my memory. How about organising a nature walk through this Chestnut Forest Reserve the BIGGEST NATURE PARK in Singapore .

    I have walk through this nature trail and find it interesting and easy to walk no rough terrain and would strongly recommend to our Walking Team.
