  1. Yew Kwong,

I am bringing my foldable bike for cycling at Sentosa next Sat, but I haven’t decide where to meet up with the cyclists, at Vivo City or Siloso Beach bicycle rental kiosk?

I am wondering if my foldable bike is suitable for the Pengarang trip that you are planning next round. The bike is very stable with 17 inches wheels, equipped with “Gear”, and I have tested a few smooth ride at East Coast Park….. But it’s rather heavy, (my son actually put the foldable bike at the weighing machine, “wow pianz “! 16. 5 kg). Andrew Thio, I can’t wait to show my foldable bike leh…..hehehe……

Fyi, Janet will be riding her foldable in Pengarang for the 2nd time.

If you do feel your foldable is heavy, do consider removing all the metal parts/components, the weight should be close to zero gravity. Good to try it out in Malaysia. The feeling is great and I’m sure it will perform beyond your expectation.

    Hi All

If you are looking to buy a foldable, nice n good looking, try here.

  3. Hi fellow SHC cyclists friends,
I come across in advertisement on offer Aleoca Faraggio 2 16-inch Folding Bike on offer @$76.90 only in today fri “TODAY” newspaper page 29, usual price is $179 they claimed at GIANT SUPERMARKET.If you ride quite often it is a worthwhile investment as you can use it for Sentosa and even Pengarang trip. It save you the hassle of renting and you can ride from home to MRT and back. Cheers..Bobby

  4. Good morning Bobby,

No doubt this foldable bike is worthwhile to buy, but hor….. it does not equipped with “Gear”….very “chiak luck” leh :(

    Ah Nee

  5. Hi Bobby

Like Ah Nee, I’m also in favour of foldables wif gears. We can’t assume all roads are flat. Gears ease your climb on slopes be them gradual or steep using less energy but effective and smoother.

Foldables or standard bikes w/o gears suit those who have great leg power better.

  6. Hi Ah Nee and Yew Kwong,
If you want gear and light weight then go for model Aleoca 20-inch T6 heat treated Aluminiun frame with gear etc offer at $338 usual $399.90,cheers..

  7. Bobby & Yew Kwong….

Oh ya….I think my foldable Bike is “Aleoca” brand…is Aluminium frame, but not sure if its 20 inches wheels, I thot it is 17 inches, never measure it lah…hahaha…and it cost $289 plus (cushion seat, plus bell, plus metal holder for water bottle), total cost I paid $325. Nice Bike, blue colour….

Rene, where you got your sky blue helmet huh? I need to buy one to match my blue foldable Bike leh…..hahaha….. :)

    Ah Nee

  8. HI YK,
Most likely I will meet you all at vivocity.
I plan to cycle from tiong bahru mrt station via Lower Delta Rd.

Does anyone know whether the Lower Delta road’s pavement is wide enough for cycling? I have no wish to cycle on the road alone.
    thank you

  9. Ah Nee

I can get it 4 u at the CV bike shop since m going there. Slightly cheap. Just take measurement of the circumference of your head n choice of color are what I need.

  10. Yew Kwong,

I wore my son’s red helmet during the 1st Pengarang trip. It was too big, although it can be adjusted to fit my head. I looked awful lah….

You get for me a sky blue colour wan; circumference measured is 55 cm. yahoooo….. stylo milo its goes with my blue foldable bike… :)

    Ah Nee

  11. I will come and will meet at Sentosa bicycle rental shop at 2pm.

I’m thinking of getting a bicycle and was recommended to get a 24″ mountain bike with gears. Feedback anyone? The $399 seems a bit pricey for me.

  12. Anna

Mountain bike or mtb in short is good for offroad. Perhaps u can also look at hybrid (a cross between mtb and road bike).

Price is usually accord to not just type of bike but also the components that are fixed up.

If u have a better budget I would suggest u get a bike (designed for lady). Just ask shop if they have wsd.

  13. Hi YK, thanks for being the anchorman behind me and for sending me back to the bicycle rental kiosk. Tks also to all the cyclists who waited. It was cool cycling along The Marina and past all those nice houses!

  14. Hi Anna

U are welcome. We always take care and look out for each other.

The scenery was good especially past the Marina and those nice houses some wif exotic cars in their compound.
