A visit to the ISTANA on Friday

The Istana grounds will be open to the public on Friday, 4th Feb 2011, from 8:30am to 6pm, for CNY celebrations.

Visitors will be entertained by 3 school bands, a Chinese dance performance by PA Talents and an exhibit from Jurong Bird Park.

Admission is free for Singaporeans and PR and $1 for other visitors.  For $2, visitors can tour selected function rooms in the Istana Building.  Istana souvenirs will also be sold, with all proceeds going to charity.

As usual, crowds will be anticipated, hence, for those interested in going, it is advisable to go early.

I am planning to go around mid-morning.  If you keen to join me, do indicate your interest here, or email me on lydiaykchin@yahoo.com.sg

  1. Seems like nobody in SHC is keen to go to Istana! Everyone seems to be very busy with visiting & eating..! Only query I received was from Joy! I am proceeding with plan, and am on the way there now…! There will not be a queue, since most people are out visiting..!

GONG XI FAI CAI to all my SHC frenz ….. :)
