Joy C – Profile

I got to know of this club through a friend and after looking at the posts, I look forward to meeting the members and especially Terence and his team who thought of this idea and put it all together.

I am 36 years away from retirement…you may be wondering why I am in SilverHairs…well, I ain’t planning on retiring at 55 or even 62…ha ha…got you!

I enjoy nature, the sea, the beach, the parks…the rolling in of waves, the rustling of leaves, the smell of morning dew, the wind in my face, the hope of a new beginning with the rising sun, the warmth and comfort of the setting sun, the starry nights, the moonlight, great company, and all things fun…

I see myself taking part in the cycling activities, the talks, the chit chat sessions, the makan sessions (hmmm…I enjoy eating, but I take care to eat in moderation), movie nights, concerts in the park, the travels around the region…

Shall be meeting you somewhere, some day…take care…

  1. Haha, almost jumped in to tell Joy, “It’s a joy to read how kindly you said of Terence & company, and more joy if you cd join us but young lady, you’ll hv to bide yr time”…….

Ok, so she plans to retire at earliest 81, assuming she’s 45 today. No doubt, she is more than bubbly……….vibrant, full of verve and revving.

  2. Wow
Joy, sound like you are 30 years old. I love your life style, full of natural environmental.

I love that too, I use to travel to Bintang alone when I depress and stress. After 2 days there feel better.Haha but very costly to go there.

  3. hi joy, i’m sure yur presence will also bring much joy (sic) to members here! at this tender age to think of “retirement” issues is very proactive and a good start to retirement planning. i am sure u can really learn a great deal from shc and hopefully avoid pitfalls which many of us here unfortunately have found themselves in. only wish shc existed back some 20 years! anyway, welcome aboard among pple with silver and golden hairs!

  4. Haha, Henry, i like you for saying that silverhairs are all in their tender age. No wonder, the ah peks roaming geylang backlanes invariably sing Love Me Tender as they pander to the dragons there their tantalisingly tender even tho when it comes to the reckoning, it’s a big let-down.
