    Hi Agnes,

ha!ha! am i being ’shuan’ ? learnt this word from a fellow
SHC member..ai ya, ‘tekam’/’shuan’/ apa-lagi semua pun tak
apa lah…..satu bulan di SHC, macam-macam waranbiru nya,
sangat seronsong, tak boring lah, SHC members boleh tahan !!
Kalau ada lagi mahu cakap, bleh email saya lah !! kalau
kena ‘tekam’ lagi..tak apa, tak apa..

Emak-ku selalu cakap, matahari keluar & jatoh hari-hari,
Semua orang berwarna-warni di selulu dunia tengoh nya,
TAPI bukan semacam semua orang berfikiran sama-sama…
kalau tanya saja kena ’shuan’ ‘tekam’..patut nya expected !

selamat petang hari ini juga, anges !

    Hi Felice

18? My count is 20 not including members whom we are not aware of might have taken part privately.

What is the social-culture in our club? A good question.

Although you are a newbie, you have been ‘active’; Terence calls it ‘chatty’. A good thing.

This enables us to get to know you better even though some members have yet to meet you and vice versa.

We have met and you have pretty eyes (Terence finds you pretty, by the way).

In general, members here are friendly and helpful and I want to add are fun people.

As we know there will always be members who are not friendly or even nice in whichever club we join, it’s really up to the individual to decide whether or not to remain in it.

Some members are actually very nice but you may be terrified or put off by their ‘attitude’ when you first meet them.

I have had my share of ‘Initiations’ so to speak. Lucky for me, I took the time and made an effort to get to know them better and presto, we are friends!

So, it’s how a newbie or an oldie for that matter goes about to blend in.

On the other hand, there are newbies who come into our club, guns blazing, very busy making a BAD impression of themselves. Why? I would guess they have a different agenda.

Keep observing and watching; we are doing the same, too. I am pretty certain by now you have an idea of members whom you have met in person or here on the forum.

    Hi Felice,

Just had some hot Washabi in my cold Soba from Sizouka Prefecture..looks like the Washabi of Spring season is a
little too hot for my liking..anyway, have to have to drink
some cold water to do damage control hahaha…

I was told ’shuan’ in Hokkien means ‘tekan’ or ‘hantam’(more
serious), guess from Chinese Translation..’mean 2 little mouths on top with a ‘horse’ at the bottom..Anges, a little
riddle for you on a nice spring day..breezey and cloudy…
I like a ‘mild’ day like Today..not ‘Hot’ day..and by the way, i dry my laundry in the night..it is a choice i make..
though all my friends laugh at me..who cares ?

Anynone also like their Wasabi ‘mild’ ? you would be invited
to a 5 course meal if we are equally like-minded ..haha

    Hi Angnes,

So So sorry, the Wasabi is so HOT that i typed my name
instead of your name…see, tak boleh tahan sudah !!

    hi Geraldine,

ONLY 20 ? any statistician can analysis for us ?

oh!oh! oh! The hospics dying ah pek also said the same thing
while i was wiping his saliva..anyone can say anything….
Now, CAN I SAY something ? Hope an Iron Lady Club Manager
can allow some freedom of speech ? Thanks…

I feel majority members are silent ..does it mean
Protest in Silence ?? Hunger Strike ? like my children when
they do not like some food that i serve….they locked up
in the room …and i couldn’t hear a word even if i yelled
til i almost broke my lungs…no answer at all…

i mth journey here in SHC …since i am packing on a trip..
very cherry mood plus nice weather..let me say….

interesting, touching, educational, , strange, colourful,
eventful, funny, fruitful , wholesome and healthy………
Hope i did not carry a gun from what you said…i ONLY carry
a Chopper !! no agenda for me here, no worries..Just hoping
to share my food with old folks (over 70+), living alone,
in distress, in depression and with other medical conditions…No Orgy nite, no Porny nite !!

Hope i will not be kicked out before my beef stew in my
kitchen is done..But i wonder this Iron Lady is making any
    U turn..reading the electorates minds ?

Care to ask our Malay Members to explain ? If i have some time .. i shall do it. Keep you all in suspense !kekeke

    Felice

I am beginning to feel you are attacking me.

What do you mean by ‘Now, CAN I SAY something ? Hope an Iron Lady Club Manager can allow some freedom of speech? Thanks…’ and ‘But i wonder this Iron Lady is making any U turn..reading the electorates minds?’

You better explain these 2 remarks.

  10. Felice Lim Says:
    March 12th, 2012 at 7:32 pm
    Hi Geraldine,

I am NOT attacking you..i am a straight forward person..
i am just reading from the result to make a guess in a NEW
place..What is there to attack ?NO ATTACK of any nature.

you asked me to observe and watch the situation..
and i thought you being a very modern open-minded person can
share your thoughts on changing your mind about (U Turn)
S-theme parties If you read the members’ minds…

I may read them wrongly… but i am in the ‘open’ to air
my views..If you think this is not allowed to express/ say
anything opposite..then i have nothing else to say..

I am trying to get the feel of Policy maker..no attack, dear,
    no NEED at all..

    Dear Felice,

Now you mentioned hokkien ’shuan’ yes, i understand completely the meaning of hokkien ’shuan’. I can speak hokkien. You are so cute. no la, this time i’m sincere one. from my heart ok. one members’ view make me salute a little bit to him. cos he is a little bit different fr the rest. but i do not like to mention names cos in case next time i might meet him in events, then i wont feel unnatural. hehe, i’m also abit thin skinned one.

you are a bit right too. my style sometimes is to ’shuan shuan’ a bit others ah … heheh, but its all in the name of humour and good cheer, never to harm or hurt . Hurting or antagonising people is never my cup of tea, but if the person do not have a sense of humour, then too bad lor. some people when your view differs from theirs then they get angry right? i’m not like that . just speak your mind. its a free world. every body is entitled to their opinion, isnt it right? those that not angry one and can laugh at my ’shuan’ becomes a fren, no?

For sure, i’m peace loving, and just here to make some good frens, that are like minded and can enjoy activities like movie, ktv, makan makan together in our golden years. you know?

hey, i went to google translate to read your malay message. the tool din do a good job but i sort of guess that you saying everybody thinks differently is it sth like that. anyway, i agree w you on that. everyone thinks differently.

ok, its Monday, enjoy your week. May it be fruitful and cheerful !

    Cheers
    Agnes Lim

ps hey felice, you also mention in your malay message to email you? yes i’d like to , to share some other things w you. i share your opinion on one other thing which i dont like to mention here, but i can tell u in the email.

    ???????????????? ?

    Agnes Lim

If you dont undersand, use google to translate.

    Hi Felice

If you have been reading my postings on the Domestic Helpers having a weekly day off, you will know I am all for human rights!

Naturally, freedom of speech is also a human right which I strongly support. Why would I stop/not allow anyone to speak just because I am the frigging CM???

So if I don’t have this role, it is then ok if I were to tell members to shut up? The mind boggles.

Your paragraph 3 ‘If you think this is not allowed to express/say anything opposite…’, again, how am I to interpret it other than I am a monster? I am not! Any idea how hurtful it is?

Now you have a better picture of me in terms of freedom of speech and it’s good that you cleared the air.

As for your paragraph 2 regarding S-theme events, as long as Terence approves events with sex-sounding names, EOs are given the green light to organize. Terence will be a better person for you to bring this up.

    Hi Geraldine,

Woop! my beef stew was burnt !
Thought it looked alright from the top though the smell
was ’smoky’..WOW! when i scrapped to the bottom of the POT,
almost every bit are BLACK & DRIED.. got to throw the burnt
stew and pot into the Bin…

well, my dinner is gone..am i upset ? NO NO NO, glad to have
a choice to eat some ‘mee pok’ take away..
Geraldine, why do you have to feel hurt ? I sincerely just
ask permission ..When you ‘think’ /’feel’ i am attacking you,i am not feeling a wee bit of being ‘wrongly’ thought..
cos’ my heart knew it WAS no attack..so i just explained..
Remember, i also clarified with the PITA issue..

How could you be a Monster? Monster do not know ‘human right’…You made your views about maids’ off day, very
liberal ! good for you ! But NOT every one is a liberal..
    most are conservatives, social-liberal.or liberal- conservatives..oh, i forgot labour too.Everyone has his/her
concerns on some issue..hope you can understand.

At least, i am out in the open to ask questions so that i
can better understand the culture & mindset of members.
People who know me understand when i see an orange, i would
see it as naval/valencia but not a clemtine or mandarin-Orange…or a lemon. May be like my Pot of burnt Stew, i saw only the top..smoky? then i scrapped further ‘down’….

When my kids broke the eggs while helping to carry the groceries..they were afraid i would scold them..NO NO NO.
I did not scold them but just told them , ” Look, dearie,
we could make a banana pancake with the eggs…and serve with ice cream…” A little accident turned a boring Sunday
afternoon with delightful pancake & ice cream !! They said,
“mum, we have eaten the dessert and digested the meaning..”

    Geraldine, just like terry & Ros.,Carly & Wendy…
No body wants to hurt any body here..
we are here to find friendship and joined wholesome & healthy activities…Please don’t feel hurt.I never dream
    of even thinking of this..
