Let’s take a Walk this January 2007

Dear Walkists & Fellow SHCs

Most of you should have heard of all the buzz about the Potluck.  Some of you like me who commutes by "bus no. 11" have raised concerns of how to get there, how to bring the food…etc had been noted and did some recce, hence, this late announcement… sorrie…

The FOCUS for this month, the 1st month of 2007 is the POTLUCK.  Hence, we, the walkist will make it easy. Let’s meet and we will lead you across to East Coast Park. It will be a short walk, time enough to freshen up and look good!

Date: 13th January 2007 (Saturday)

Place: East Coast  Park (McDonald)

Start Time:  we start the walk at 4.30pm

Meeting point: Marine Parade Community Club & Library, Marine Parade Road.

Getting there:  by bus. Buses listed on the plate at the nearest bus-stop: 15, 16, 31, 36, 76, 135, 196, 197, 646, 853, 966, 48, 473, 39A & 541.

Plan A:  we walk across the Marine Parade Flyover.  Not sure if it is allowed by law, perhaps will check with relevant authorities.

Plan B: Proceed to NTUC Marine Parade, understand there is an underpass which we can walk "under & pass" hahaaha

Also, if what you decide to bring can be bought at NTUC, it will surely conserve some of your energy for the Finale.  {smile}

Wanna join us, do drop me an email.  TQ!

Note:  the Potluck meeting point is at Cycland Bicycle shop (behind McDonald, facing the sea on your right; there’s a 7eleven, too).

Parking:  Carpark C2

Stay cool  emoticon

  1. I would be joining your potluck with my husband and bringing butter cake. Do we need to bring our own cutlery like plates, forks etc? Plan to cycle, what time to meet?
    Cheers!

  2. Pls bring along your fishing rods if you guys wld like to try your hands at fishing. Who knows, U might catch a mermaid n bring “her” home. :)

  3. Hahaha, Yew Kwong, you serious or not? That part of the sea fronting mcdonald is a hot spot for kids’ swimming so any rod/line fishing will most likely lasso a kiddo home to feed and bring up hopefully as an elite.

  4. Christina,

When I think of you, I shall call you. That what you mentioned to me before (ref: Benson).

But when I read that you have made a mistake, I shall send you a comment. That what I am telling you now. Please check the date.

    Cheers,

  5. Hi Terence,

I feel that there is a bug in this system.

When you are reading in the latest comments’ session and you found an interesting comment and wanted to response to it by clicking on “View Post”. Sometime, this could bring you to an old post of the similar topic which is misleading. I have this problem last night and I do remember that lately there are a few cases from the members having the same familiarity. This can lead to embarrassment. Could you kindly check that out? Thanks.

  6. If it’s a monster, you sure can deal with it but if it turns out to be a ghost, pls let me know cos I am into the long lost occult and exorcism during this period of my liberation and know how to keep it in a bottle for the Dames & Damsels to ogle at Caroline’s D&D.

  7. Christina Ricci??..u r not Nina Ricci’s cousin?..hhhmmmm..mystery girl eh?hopefull u r not the sneaky little monster…oooppps!, sori just kidding!
