West Coast Park – Park 1, 2 and 3.

Standing at the centre of the area 3 is the adventure play area that caters to people of different age groups from toddlers to young adults. This is the heart and most active zone of the West Coast Park. If you like a quiet and peaceful environment, the eastern portion at the area 1 would be a good choice for park users to rest and relax. Facilities: Adventure playground, bicycle distance course, fitness corner, exercise garden (including chess garden, foot reflexology facilities and bird cage trellis), grand lawn, sand play area, marsh garden, bird sanctuary, 15 boat-shaped barbeque pits, tent pitching ground and dog run corner.

After the walk:  You can enjoy tea/coffee & muffin at McCafe in West Coast Park or walk to the HDB estate opposite Ginza Plaza for dinner. BTW I heard from colleague that Ginza Plaza has been sold and is now closed. Bus 176 runs along West coast Highway (West coast Park).  We can also take this bus to somewhere (?) for dinner.

Bring along umbrella and water bottle.  See You there!

  2. Clearly, the objective here is to reduce unwanted weight but really, can mere walking do the wonders?

My butties and I still climb trees and if you have seen us, you can tell that we are beefy, not meaty.

Btw, Andrew, think “pa ka liou” is hokien and it means what superman can do………….everything, anything.

  3. Andrew

“pau ka liou” (in Fujian) means “pau tou sai” (in Cantonese) means “covers everything” (in English). Another way of saying it, is: “PKL” (in short). All it means to say is that, you are a all rounder.

  4. Correct, it’s “PKL” in short. If you want it shorter, “KL” will do and if in yr shorts, you wish for the shortest then…………….dont say anything, just roll yr tongue out a little and slowly slowly wet yr lips.

  5. Hi Lily

Thanks for your very clear explanation (much, much better then Tim’s one that only make me more confuse)

So, does it means vwong has wrongly identify me as another man – the only and special guest in our SHC

  6. Andrew, ya la ya la, for you, gals always better, cleverer than guys……..yr condition is quite serious………skip yr medication again, hehe?

  7. Dear Veronica

Due to my last minute change of work schedule, I need to work the whole Saturday & hence unable to join the walk.

No choice, but to skip this month & join u all in June. Enjoy the walk with the good company.

  8. Dear Veron/Charles,

Thanks for organising the walk and the interesting chit-chat session at MacCafe after the walk. Looking forward to explore more run sites like Sembawang/Yishun or somewhere in JB, may b? Sori, shd be walk sites.
