Remember your first step?
What a fuss everyone made then! you continued to walk right on through
childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood, but somewhere along the way, like
most adults, you probably stopped walking so much.
In fact, the percentage of adults who spent most of their
day sitting increased. Sedentary
lifestyles have been held partially responsible for the excessive poundage. hahahaha
Walking
is one of the easiest, least expensive, most enjoyable, and most profitable
forms of exercise.
All you need is ….
A pair of comfortable walking shoes
Socks to keep your feet dryer and blister
free
Comfortable clothing – dress for the
weather
A small bottle of water
Add a hat, suncreen and sunglasses on a
sunny day.
and desire ….
Suffice to say that walking is certainly good! Many SHCians
had enjoyed the walks and made new friends….
if I continued, there’d be no time for you to start walking!
Monthly walks for SHCians are on Every 2nd Saturday of
the Month, once scheduled; Rain or Shine we Will be there!
Thunder & lightning, we shall all, take cover, somewhere
in the vicinity to fellowship.
1st quarter of 2008, there will be 2 walks –
12Jan – Bishan Park & Lower
Pierce
09Feb – Gong Xi Gong Xi (family
and friends “visitation walks”)
08Mar – Bedok Reservoir (tentative)
**A week or 2 before each scheduled walk, relevant details
will be posted in SHC’s website.
Greetings fm the team – Charles Wee, Veronica Wong, Mary
Tan and ChristinaCL Chan
We wish each of
you a
Wonderfully
Blessed Christmas of Love, Joy & Peace and
a Prosperous
2008 of Divine Health and Great Harvest!
Be Cool! Stay cool!
This is Christina Chan (now reflected as ChristinaCL Chan in

Hi Christina
I’m interested in your monthly-walk program but may not be available to join your January walk. (Your date coincides with my church’s mission trip to Russia.)
Also recalled a recent discussion on some gym and swim workouts. Would someone be spear heading that, please? I’m keen to get back into the water.
Thanks,
Eleanor
Neely
Yes, a very good idea. Unfortunately, just see your comment today, otherwise, I’ll call you last night and have a late night coffee with (but after that can you sleep?)
I will like to reserve this tryst (am I using the wrong word here, ha ha) when I come back from the Korea trip, promise?
Anly, you only go on tryst when you kwai kwai shu shu with someone’s wife hehehe! Not just for coffee – more hehehehehe! – thats my interpretation.
Carly,
Thanks for your interprertation.
Is it “tryst” must be Kwai kwai shu shu, and how about besides coffee, we also take some cakes and bread, can this be the something “more”. Ha ha……..
Sorry Neely, use a wrong word, let change it to “meeting”
Anly, dont pretend hor. Yes, besides coffee, we have tao bao and siew mai.
Wei wei,
CCLC have not open this walking thread yet, she must be thinking wow! the walk so “laku” huh. Anyway whenever CCLC organised a walk, it’s so interesting and fun that attracts so many SHCians like ants. So I can continue…..Anly, I know you will have a good time in Korea lah. Carly, what is “tryst”? very “chim” leh. Ok lah, anytime if got time…we shall meet for a cup of coffee, teh, milo, sugar-cane… :)

Still awaiting for Russian visa approval. Unlikely that I’d wonder off since this is not a sightseeing trip. It’s a church mission trip and we are there to do God’s work.
I’ll join your next walk when my schedule allows. I enjoyed myself at The Fort Canning Park walk and am looking forward to learning more from you.
Blessings & Merry Christmas!
