Besides being a regular monthly gathering, the Aug 2019 event will be a get-together for members who wish to present and demo their craft skills. This will be a great opp SRIVILLE opportunity to pick up a new hobby or craft.

This is a big venue. Come meet new and old friends.

* Event date: Sat 10 Aug 2019 (day after National Day)

* Time: 6.00pm – 9.00pm

Scheduled program as follows
6.00 -7.00pm Craft demonstration
7.00- 8.30pm Line Dances lead by Sockie and listed below are those that she prepared for us to boogie on…  If more add on – Another update will be given out soon…

* Venue: SRIVILLE RC-Blk 2 Geylang Serai Multi Carpark #07, Roof Garden, Singapore 402002

(bus 154 from Eunos bus interchange 2 stop at Joo Chiat complex n use the overhead bridge to cross over to the hawker center

* Charge: $5/pax – collection at the registration table upon signing in.

Activities- $5 collection is only for rental of the place n the hot drink – not inclusive of demo craft which is $5/set (optional)

** craft demo by Karen Thio – beginner pack at $5/full set

** line dance : lead by Sockie.

** pls have your dinner b4 u proceed to the monthly gathering (coffee n tea will be provided.

  1. We have a volunteer to EO the Aug 2019 SHC monthly gathering. The date is likely 10 Aug, a day after National Day, on a Sat. Time: evening. Venue: near Paya Lebar MRT.

    All group leaders, plse be in contact with your group.

  2. Karen Thio is the EO for the SHC Aug 2019 monthly gathering. Despite having suffered a stroke, Karen loves to organise events, she likes to bring SHC members together.

    A few days ago, she rushed to the venue to formalise this event. On the way home, she sort of lost her memory, and forgot how to get home. She contacted her son, and has been warded till this morning. Karen still wants the event to go on, and has formed a team to help with a line dance item, registration and a craft demo.

    I shall now assigned this post to Karen.

    Thank for all the hard work organising this meeting gathering painting.
    Would like to.support you very much but unfortunately few of the shc members had bought tanglin cc tea dance on 10 Aug month ago.
    Hoping that more old and new shc members will support this event.

      I know end at 5pm
      1hr from tanglin to there is very rush by public transport .
      I do not want to stress myself and with my dancing attire to attend.

      Anyway looking forward for the next
      Painting event.

    For those that had difficulties in login and/or password issues that required help to resolve them, kindly note that Yoong Chin will be there to help you.

    For those that are keen to enjoy line dancing, Sockie, a trained line dance instructor/ teacher will also leading us to enjoy.

    As for Karen, most of us will probably knew her as she was once a very active member EO-ing numerous events before she suffered stroke couple years back. But she had been very brave to overcome many obstacles and now on the road of ongoing recovery… New members, you can get to know her better too…

    Seeing more members to sign up…

A big thank you to EO Karen and co EO Dolly for making this gathering happen, Sockie for the fun line dance session and all the laughs during and after the session, Pauline Khoo for my owl cushion, Thomas for your cai xin and fruits and for everyone who helped in one way or another and for being there to make this gathering a fun filled one. Last but not the least, Terence for your presence in spite of your hectic schedule
    It was good to see you both again Yew Kwong and Dan.

  29. Thank you Karen and Dolly…. your great effort in organising this fun gathering is much appreciated. Thanks to Stella for “Tonpan” me to the meeting venue. Happy to make it to this monthly event and get to meet some MIA but not forgotten members and the new one. Thanks to Sockie for leading the line dance, I had 4 new line line dance added to my list. Thanks to all the helpers who assist in one way or another to make it possible. Till then … when is the next meet…????????

  31. Yes indeed, ANee, Caroline, both of you are absolutely right and many thanks to Sockie, we had now another few line dances added to our current everlasting line dance list, like Electric Slide and Chilly Cha Cha..

    So many thanks to Karen whom had EOed this meet up despite of many hurdles along the way and being a sponsor for 2 lucky draw prizes… Kudos to her…

    Also to all other new members and current members, it was indeed a great time to mingle around.. See all of you again in our next meet up.

    Not forgetting Thomas also, always giving out fruits and veggies every time we meet. Thank you

  32. I just wanted to jot a note of thanks to say how much I enjoyed this monthly gathering.

     I very nearly didn’t attend because of ….. , but I believe the hours spent will be repaid many times over!
