As, I am helping out for a long time charity project for de orphanages home, hence, I would like to request, if you have de followings items dat it been a white elephant & a chore to you, pls do let me know by dropping a line here or send to my email gohchinhuat@gmail.com.
these are the barangs dat we are looking at;;
1) old or new clothings from 2yrs old to 30yrs old
2)soft toys,books of any ages
3)old or used electrical appliances
4)aluminum, iron, copper dat which my car can slot in only.
5)bottles, plastic …same also ..only small size that which my car can slot hor.
6)paper of any type…
PLS take note …. no furniture , no expired food stuffs
There is no cut off date as i fill up my house and once full ..will send to them lor.
Lastly , I also want to thks the other group of SHCians who wrote to my email with regards to me asking for 2012 calendra…many thks & they dun nid anymore liao…

saturday b4 i gg 2 chor kang as truck driver , i load de barangs in my car. finish work i shoot off 2 my sister plc to fetch her 4 family errand..after dat i went in to jay bee (jb ) dump de barangs there in 10min time , i off 2 another job ( chor kang ) till 7 char 8 char den come back 2 sg.. u ve to come back on yr own.. even if on de 26dec u can hor..aso de same but timing change .i go in early cos no family errand 2 run & u still ve to come back lone hor.
i ,masuk jay bee everyweekend , but bear in mind u ve 2 come back by yrself.. so ARE u still very keen to tolong tolong bo or i give u de tai chi ( address ) ..u go by yrself lah.. mai ki hor..lang seng tay tay ai hua yee hua yee tio ho lah.. ( life is short , no angry must be happy lah )

I’ve already spoken to you regarding the things I am giving to the orphanage. Are you collecting them and bringing them straight to the orphanage? If that is the case I think I can play my part in helping. Since I drive and am retired you can just tell me where to bring those things and I can meet you there, instead of you having to drive to my place which is quite a distance from your home. Mine is in Serangoon North, yours is in Jurong East,am I right?
Anyway you decide, you know best. Just let me know ok? Easier to call me, you have my no.

Do you need carton boxes to store the stuff which you have collected? My friend’s friend got 40 to 50 carton booxes from movers (used once only to move house) – i think around Whampoa area.

My offer of help was because I thought the orphanage is in Singapore. Since it is in JB I will not drive there as I once got lost and got into a lot of ugly situations there. I tell myself I will never drive to JB again.I now have a phobia driving there.

Hiya Sam! Mai kek kee leh. I am glad to be able to donate items that are still usable and in good condition to the orphanage. I made sure clothings are not torn or smelly; electronic items doesn’t give short circuit; plasticware got covers and not scratched or burnt….that’s the very least I as a donor should do. Want to donate be sincere, give with heart and don’t treat the orphanage like rubbish bin and donate non-workable, torn, broken and/or stained items.
Sam, if you see any item from mine that falls into any of the above category, I sumpah to you now to go to Jurong West and take it back. Sia suay lang ah!

you say as tho my trip to JB charity home is looking for food & looksy looksy nia lah .. ho sim bo ho po! We need lunch anyway, so that 2 dishes is what i had before, its simple and fast mah. If i’m crazy about food, i’ll be as big as you ler. Looksy does not mean see & bo chap – my idea is to see if there are walls that we can paint or draw something nice to make the place look happier. Anyway, thanks for the info.
No need our drama group go all the way there to do movie/drama lah –
you just buy them some comedy or nice animation DVDs so they can watch whenever, I think these kids need laughing sessions as their life could be mundane with their daily routine. The charity homes will have their set of moral education, so dont worry if the movies have not much moral value.
Mmm, I’ll go with my hubby as making appointments with anyone is always very leceh. Now I have ease of mind to go as and when we feel like it.

My intention of helping Ah Huat to help ferry some small items was not successful as our date & time dont match. I responded since 21 Dec and I’m getting nowhere altho I gave several dates that I can go #7.
My final decision as of today – I dont wish to go anymore.

Hi Dorine, sorry for the late reply as we had just finished our last collection for 2nite.
Thank you for the offer. However, after much consideration, we had decided not 2 xport these bicycles for JB orphanages as there is no way dat Sam’s car can ferry the bicycles there. As such, we will need 2 get a permit issued by d orphanages for custom’s approval to allow necessary xportation to n thru’ JB to SG for these collection. In our past experience, waiting for permit 2b approved by the authority can takes moons n by then, bicycles will be either given away or disposal off already. Nevertheless, is kind of you to offer.
For those collections yet 2b collected, pls bear with us and we will make sure that all these will be collected b4 closing date, ie 15 Jan 2012.
