  1. Those who have signed up but haven’t pay up, please do so quickly.

As soon as I have 40 paid pax, I will close the registration, and those who have not paid will (very sorry) loose their place to those who have paid.

It will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  2. Hi Lily,
So as not to hold up the finalisation, guess you’d better take me off the list.
Maybe I’ll join in for the next trip as I think I’ll be more up to it.
    Tks …..Jie

  3. Lily,

Excellent program. I have been to Batam a number of times, didnt know there are so many places one can visit.

I think I would be dead tired by the end of the day. Anyway, like everyelse, I am not planning to sleep.

  4. WILL THE REST OF THE UNPAID PAX (Names not Highlighted) PLEASE PAY UP NOW.!!

    Dear Daphne,

All the answers to your queries are on the website (this one and the previous one). Pls read my web posting which is continuously being updated including room allocation. My apologies, I really don’t have time to answer individual email enquiries.

To all – Room allocation is on ‘available’ basis. I cannot accommodate last minute request to room you with whomever you like. You can switch room with each other after check-in.

Hope to have your understanding. I really do feel inadequate for not being able to meet everyone’s request but I will strive to do what I can to meet your expectation. Thank you.

    Ya Terence,

You sounded like a participant rather than an event organiser leh!

  5. Thanks Anthony, Sue, Dolly –

May be Terence can enlist your help for other event organising?

    LH Jie –

I understand your circumstance. Not to worry, there will be other opportunities. You take care.

  6. Hi Lily

I can help but cannot lead like you and Dolly lah…. only supporter !

Molly wud like to room with me & two other ladies (anyone will do). Ann To can take my place in the room with Ah Nee & the rest.

  7. Hi Folks,

Just came back from A&E Mt. Alvernia. On MC from now till Monday. Will answer all queries, request & payment updates when feeling better. Please bear with me and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Regards
    Lily Ho

  8. Hi Lily

Sorry to learn you are not well. Hope nothing serious. Please rest well. Hopefully, it’s not our numerous requests that make you “sick”.

Don’t feel bad about not meeting everyone’s request as I do understand how difficult it is to organise and lead.

Take care and wishing you speedy recovery.

    Rgds
    Susan

  9. Hi Lily,

Sorry you are ill. Hope you recover quickly. Do take plenty of rest and good care of yourself.

I am sure we all want to see you hale and hearty again in the coming gathering(s).

If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

    Regards,
    Gingko

  10. Hi Lily,

I know is physically and mentally stressful to take charge of such an important task, having to monitor the SHC website every now and then, running in and out the bank, liaising with travel agent, accedes to requests and non stop. Such role is always “tze li bu tao how”. Anyway, we appreciate your contributions and good organiser.

Please take care, rest well and hope you will recover soon!

  11. Hi Lily,

I wish you well and do have plenty of rest. If you like some Thai herbal plants, let me know. They will put back the vibrance back in you.

    Take care.

  12. Hi Everyone

Thank you – to all, for your concern. I went to the A&E because it is the nearest 24hr clinic for me. I’m very sorry to have scared you unnecessary. My apology to Wong yl who thought that I was in a car accident. I am also very touched that Dolly and Yew Kwong came to visit me.

Julie Guan – who have problem in making payment – Yew Kwong had volunteered to collect on my behalf. Pls liaise with each other.

Susan’s request to room in with Molly – It can be arranged but Molly’s other roommates have back out of this trip. So, the 2 of you will have to take twin sharing. That means, each of you will have to pay $20 more. Is that ok with you? Pls confirm.

Yew Kwong had requested for insurance coverage for this trip. I will make enquiries and provide further details in later posting. It will be an optional item.

After registration closed – New posting will be out to finalise room allocations, the 2nd day departure schedules, etc. So, please stay tuned.

  13. Hi Lily,

    Glad you are well now.

My frenz Bessie Lam, who is a new SHC member is keen in the Sijori trip. Please include
her in quad sharing. Payment and particulars
    on the way.

Also, what time can we expect to be back in
    Spore on Sunday afternoon ?

    Take care
    Ann Lim

  14. Ok Susan & Molly. Thanks.

Dear Ann Lim – Have listed Bessie Lam. If one more gal sign up, Susan, Molly, Bessie & the new gal can take a villa. Otherwise, Bessie will have to bunk in with you in your villa subject to the consent of the other 3 occupants.

Will post return schedule in my next posting. There is flexibility on what time you wish to come back to S’pore.

  15. Hi Lily,

If Susan and Molly opt for quad sharing, can you include Bessie and me with them if it’s not too troublesome, otherwise, anything will do, at your discretion.

    Thanks
    Ann Lim

  16. Lily, happy that you’re ok now and is back to yr elements.

Happy also that I hv Terence, Yew Kwong & Anthony to mate in the same room but if it becomes helpful that I take a villa, i wont mind at all. That way, it will ease some worries off folks who read this thread late and wish to join in for some fun.

I can lay mats on the floor and collect rent @ S$20 for every 2m x 1.5m sleeping space, toilet papers @ S$0.30 for every fold of 5, bath w/o towels S$1.00 (w recycled towels $$1.50, brand new towels on a cost plus S$1.00 basis) and a float for the swim home & keep @ S$10.00.

(Terence, YK & Anthony reading, want to be entrepreneurs & so be my sub-contractors here?)

  17. Ann Lim – point noted.

Any more request for room or partner switching.? Will try to accommodate everyone’s request as much as possible.

Anyone wants to room-in with Tim Liu.? He’s got alot more to offer than just bed space.

  18. Email from Pearlynn Tan :
“Hi Lily, Terence asked me to ask you on the above. Can you advise if as of today, only 1 friend said OK to join me for the Batam trip so can we share with another 2 persons OR we’ve to take to Twin sharing? Another friend wants to go but she wants to know if she can bring her 2 daughters along.”

Dear Pearlyn – This is strictly for SHC members. I doubt your friend’s daughters qualify as SHCian. If you are interested, I still have 1 vacancy for quad sharing.

At the moment, we already have 39 paid up pax. Bessie Lam (friend of Ann Lim) whom I’ve neither receive payment nor particulars, if someone paid up before you, that person will take your place as the registration closes at 40 pax or 7 June whichever comes first.

Any registration or payment received after closing will be rejected (non-negotiable).

Terence – please ask people to post their request on the website. As a standard policy, I don’t answer individual email.

  19. Dear All,

SHC provides an arena for folks of at least aged 45 to interact and share time together. We are happy to have achieved some measure of success so far, and credit to all SHCians for making this possible.

While we are very pleased that younger people too are eager to join us, we do regret that we will have to abide by the Rules of Eligibility which are unequivocal & transparent.

Unless there’s a need to engage another privately and that it is imperative that confidentiality be maintained, it’s always desirable that exchanges on the subject of posting be open so that everyone is aware and is kept abreast of developments.

We do implore your inderstanding to together make SHC even a more fulfilling & funky place second to none.

    Tim

  20. Hi Lily,

Oh dear ! I’m sori ! I think Bessie and I miscommunicated. She’s not in town. Can we pay you this saturday when we meet at Loyang bbq, or alternatively, please email me your account, will do a transfer immediately.

Will also email u her particulars tonite.

Dui bu qi, paiseh, paiseh …….

    Regards
    Ann Lim

  21. I agree that children and grand children below 45 should not appear at SHC functions and activities. When I first became a member, I posted something about the consequences of children appearing at the Karaoke competition that got censored by Terence.

  22. We currently do not have activities for the under 45s. I think everybody appreciate the need to keep our activities to the over 45s.

So, let’s stay focus, and keep our agenda to registered SilverHairsClub members. Have fun. I just found 20 SilverHairs while looking at the mirrow.

  23. Aiyah Tim

For the price you are charging, can you add on some gold taps, gold bath tub..provide butler service to facilitate the feeling of a 6 star hotel. Do be careful with the mat that you are providing.. make sure that they are not those that have been used as exhibits in court.

    Eliza

  24. Thanks Tim, Joy & Terence

We can never reiterate enough to make people understand that SHC is for members 45 years and above.

BTW Tim, Instead of being FON, you are getting sober by each posting. Nice! ^o^

  25. Terence, you dont mix water color with hair dye. See, what you got? 20 whites standing naked in africa.

Eliza, after SoLong broke the news, I shd hv accepted MamaDray’s offer to buy all his gold taps etc at 10% costs and saved him from the dray of lawsuits & damages that he has now to drag & pay but then hor, you didnt ask me then leh?

I can stand in as the butler. Since you hv also asked for a “service to facilitate the feeling…….” this butler me will keep a piece of creamy butter to faciliate the feeling, lucky you.

The mats? Worry not for they are those the polis normally used to wrap corpses brought to the mortuary. Did you ever hear a corpse complain lying in there? So the mats must be very comfortable.

Lily, I know what ONS is but FON? Surely you aint hinting to me to ………for the whole of that 1 nite? Will be a dead duck even b4 sunrise & when the proud cock crows, I’ll be wondering what happens to mine?

  26. Lily

I understand the registion is closed lah. However should anyone wish to withdraw due to certain committment please let me know.
