The walk : After the Pipeline Ramble X-treme and the Rail Corridor X-treme, this is a walk in the park, literally.

This walk will be broken down into several stages, totaling about 13.5 km. Those who don’t want to do the whole walk can join/leave the walk at the various way points. Times given are approximate depending on the pace of the group.

Start point – East Coat Park, 10 am.

Way point 1 – Break at Block 739 Bedok Reservoir Road (next to Sheng Siong Supermarket). 12 noon to 1 pm. This will be the lunch point.

Way point 2 – Break at Tampines MRT/Town Centre, 2.30 pm.

End point – End at Pasir Ris Park, 4 pm.

The end point is at Pasir Ris Park in time for happy hour ( 2 for 1) at one of the beach bars. There isn’t much else by way of food or drinks at the park and those who are not inclined for an afternoon tipple, should stock up at the last way point (Tampines MRT/Town Centre).

  1. Hi Jeffrey and Azhari

I have been missing for a while, and missing the walks. I would like to sign up for this, but I am not sure at this moment in time where I will start and where I will end :)

    Thanks for organising this walk…

  2. #4 Joy, Easiest is to join the group at the start and leave off where you feel like. Although you can join the walk along the way but the times at each way point are only approximate depending on the pace of the group.

  3. Hi Jeffrey,

Please include my participation in this PCN X-treme Walk. I wish to join i.e. meet up with the group of walkers at Way-point 1 break – Blk 739 Bedok Reservoir Rd at 12.00 p.m.

    Cheers

    Bernie

  4. Here we go, the intrepid 11 X-treme ramblers. As mentioned in the post, it’s a walk through very civilised territory. You need not even bring water as there are many 7-11, Cheers and Fairprice along they way.

Thomas, Bernie and Dorine, we should be at the food court at Blk 739 Bedok Reservoir Road 12ish.

    See you all tomorrow.

  5. Hi Jeffery,

Kindly include new member Irene Chua, her membership is currently pending approval. We probably will join from Tampines. Thanks. Cya! DT

  6. Hi Jeff and Azhari

A big thank you for organising the walk yesterday. Enjoyed everything from the scenery, chitchatting, keeping fit and losing of calories ~ haha.

Felt a sense of achievement too – having completed 13.8 Km! Really luv it. Thought I’ll have a pain in the legs today but I woke up fine. Looks like my treadmill walking in the gym is paying off.

All these plus-es inspite of being stranded in Pasir Ris cos the mrt had broken down yet again. A ride by Bus no. 3 took me more than an hour to reach the Tampines station which wd take only 5 minutes by mrt … but I’ve learnt that I shd have taken a service no. 15 which will take only 10 minutes! It’s 4 stops vs 40 stops…

Bye till we meet again at our next walkathon.

    Cheerio

  7. For those who missed the monthly walk- this was it!

Just for the record, this walk was one of the monthly walk series. Hence, the clarification in the heading.
