  1. Hi Douglas
Please register Lina, Hou Chong and me for this cycling. One question though, won’t there be road closures around Marina Bay because of F1?

  2. HI Douglas,

I will be at Burger King at 4pm. But don’t wait for me if I am late. Will call you on mobile to meet.

You sure the route won’t be blocked?

BTW Alan Ang said he will also be meeting at Burger King.

    Cheers

  3. Douglas,

Thanks for organising this ride. MBS is very nice at night with all the lights.

FYI, when Malcolm and I were riding home after the ride, we found a “new” PCN trail. This trail would be of interest to those people staying in Ponggol and Hougang.

As most of us know the Ponggol PCN quite well now after many rides around the area, they would also be familiar with the usual Blk 401 Kopitiam start point. From Blk 401, we can connect to Ponggol PCN and ling to the Serangoon PCN near Defu Road. A short ride on the road to Hougang Ave 3 would link us to the Jalan Pelikat PCN. That would bring us to the Upper Paya Lebar Rd. and Boundary Rd junction. If we ride downhill on Upper Paya Lebar Rd. we can reach a new, very broad PCN just alongside the Breadtalk and Sakae Sushi corporate offices. At the junction or Airport Rd and Paya Lebar Rd we join
the new Aljunied PCN, which runs beside a canal and will bring you to the longest hawker centre in Singapore. From there you can reach Aljunied MRT and cross over to Geylang and Guillemard Rd to Old Airport Rd and thence to Fort Rd on the ECP.

I mention this as I believe those staying in Ponggol, Sengkang and Hougang will be interested as it provides a new cycling route to the ECP, and from there to the CBD, MBS or Gardens by the Bay or to Changi Village in the opposite direction.

    Cheers to more cycling.

  4. Hi Charles

    Thank you for sharing.

We will certainly ride along those routes as mentioned, we feel more comfortable cycling on pcn than on the road.
