Josephine Wong – Intro

Hi friends,

I am just turn into my 50 this year. Magically I don’t feel old at all.
Started to feel that I have not really spend time for my own and like to have
more friends around and enjoy my life and live to the fullness.

I like to learn ballroom dance and go back into scuba diving.

Hope to find friends who have the same interest.

  1. Hi, welcome to the 50s club!

I just turned 50 myself in May and I don’t feel old at all as well! I love telling people I’m 50 as I love seeing the surprise on their faces and hearing the wonderful compliment, “Oh, you don’t look 50!”

This year, I’m going to dedicate myself to helping more people live life to the fullest, so let’s be friends, hehe!

  2. Hi Jessica,

Thank you for your warm welcom. We are all bless by God who renew our youth : ) Me too, I enjoy the same compliment from people around me as well. Yes ages is only a number. hehe. Hope one day we can meet up.

  3. A belated (as I don’t log-in that often) welcome to the club. I have been trying to get the SHC SCUBA group started since I first joined in 2008 but so far it has been a group of 1 (me!). There are many divers in SHC who have hung up their fins. Besides you, I know of another diver who is keen to resume diving. So that makes it 3. Could be a start.

  4. Well, I have just turned 60 this year. Hairs more white than silver! I love SCUBA diving! I am thinking of organising overseas diving courses for senior who want to take up SCUBA diving. Diving for senior should be easy and relax type. Just feel that many senior might missed diving in their younger days due to family and work commitment. Not too late to take up as I reckon SCUBA diving is another very good form of exercise for senior as when you are swimming underwater, you whole body is not subjected to any stress. No easy get into any serious physical injuries. Besides, breathing compressed air underwater could also “rejuvenate” our cells. Anyone keen? I am at your service.

  5. #7 Tony Koo

The SHC SCUBA group now has a membership of 2 divers, myself and Shu Moo Yoong (she’s the one mentioned in post #6). We (together with another non-SHC diver) have just returned from a week in Malapasqua, Cebu. Diving there was superb, the highlight being a dawn dive to see thresher sharks.

Now there’s you and Josephine. That makes 4.

Let’s do a trip. Tentatively I have planned an extended weekend (4 days) trip to Pulau Redang in July and a longer one of about a week to Manado either in September or October.

For those who have not got themselves certified, there’s time enough for Tony to organise a basic open water course.
