We, the same team as last year are going to hold another lohei gathering.
Date: 28 Feb 2015 (Sat)
Time: 14.30-22.00 (tentative, depends on available slots)

    Sincerely appreciate your time in organising this and bdw anyone sharing pictures of the cat walks that make so many roar into laughter? As Sockie was one of the winner performing the cat walks I sure hope someone has taken the snap shots.

  10. Thank you Winnie. Was looking for you that night wanting to give you the prize in lieu of oranges but you had left.

    I hope like you, other participants enjoyed the program too. Esp the new comers and non active members.

    Indeed the committee members had put up lots of time and effort to ensure an enjoyable and fun gathering. But still, there were some lapses and we apologize for that esp to those who had to stand longer than it should be.

    We complained to caterer – same one we used last year (1) delayed delivery despite strict timing indicated (2) no stools as per order (3) cauliflower dish a bit spoilt (4) total food standard compared to last year lohei where participants had enjoyed heartily. They were very apologetic and as a gesture will not charge transport fee and refund for the dish and stool rental fee total of $120.40. Therefore we are thinking of refunding the money to all of you ($2.68 each) but it would be too troublesome hence suggesting to contribute to SHE for website maintainance or whatever cost to serve entire SHC community. Is it ok with you? Or do you have other suggestions?[image=CAM01800.jpg]

    Moon, thanks for the “praise”. Here is the direction:
    From dover mrt station come down to road level and walk towards the canal. Cross a pedestrain bridge to the opposite side of the canal and immediately turn left continue walking along the side of the canal. The condo back gate is about 250 m away. Press the security and tell the guard that u are coming to the function room and he will release the lock n let u in

    Sorry for the late registration. Just back from overseas trip and logged into the website to find this event happening tomorrow. I’d like to attend. Is it too late to join in now? If can, I will transfer the money tomorrow morning or shall I simply bring the $28 and pay you in person.

    Can you provide some walking directions from Dover MRT to the condo ? More specifically, can we access the condo through a back door (if there is one) from the sungei OR must access from Mt. Sinai Rise.

    Come dressed with whatever you like but there will be prizes for 2 best dress persons relevant to the occasion (i.e. CNY)

    I too wish I could attend the CNY lohei gathering. It will be traditional and a great way to bring in the new year.

    CNY is a good year for me to work. It has been my plan more than a year ago. I shall be in Chennai to visit some newspapers publishers; and I am taking this opportunity to bring some SHC members to explore Kerala. I encourage all members who have the time here in Singapore to come for this lohei.

    Hope you bring back the traditions of the Lunar New year.l

  58. Wow! It’s encouraging to see so many familiar ‘faces’ and new friends in the registration list. Welcome to another enjoyable Lohei by our team!

    I salute to those who had MM (mahjong marathon) last year! They played through the night and still could stay awake after the game ended. Not sure if they had black eye rings.

    Would we have a marathon game this year? What is the ace up our sleeves? Come to our party and check it out! Seats limited, so sign up early!

  62. So nice to see old friends coming to this once-in- a- year festive get-together. The BFSTAMP team will put our heads together to make sure this is something you’ll enjoy and bring home lots of good memories. How about the newcomers? We’ve not forgotten you so do come out to celebrate with us . The programmes will be fully packed with food and games so nobody will be left in a corner.

    Tomorrow you will know whether it’s Parc Oasis (Chinese Garden mrt) and if not successful, there’s a back-up plan to try another condo. Due to time constraint, as we have a timeline of only 1 month to work on this, and the team members have our own work and family commitments, we need you to register quickly so that you will not be disappointed to have a place reserved as we have a limit of 50 only.

    Or you can wait until tomorrow but join with those coming in ahead of you but you may not get a place once we’ve reached 50. We will also give 3 days’ grace for all payment to come in so that we can get down to work on the planning and logistics immediately.
