“HEART” ROCK CONCERT – PT II

ATTENTION TO ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE CAPTIONED CONCERT

  • DATE:           l6th August,2008
  • TIME:           8.00 PM
  • VENUE:        Marina Bay Floating Stage, next to Esplanade

Silverhairs around 40-strong, will converge to the Marina Bay Floating Stage in follow-up of celebrating this year 43rd National Day.

The first part of the show starting at 5.30pm will be songs and dances perform by school children from all over Singapore, ending at 7.30pm.

The second part of the show starting at 8.00pm is the main concert, featuring more than 15 well-known personalities, such as popular singer and entertainer ANITA SARAWAK, nominated member of parliament, EUNICE OLSEN and former Speaker of Parliament, TAN SOO KHOON, lasting up to 11.00pm.

Members may feel free to attend the first part of the show, if so wish, otherwise we will meet at 6.00pm at the Esplanade Waterfront, "MAKANSUTRA GLUTTONS BAY", the food centre besides the open-air Esplanade Stage, for dinner and interactions before the rock concert.

PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR BINOCULARS AND PONCHOS.

    Meeting, will be the sitting places nearer to the field, next the open-air stage at 6.00pm.

    We will wear our name-tags at this gathering, for easy indentifications, by new members.

    “HEART’ ROCK CONCERT, on 16th Aug was a night to remember at the Marina Bay Floating Stage. About 40 of the Silverhairs came down to let their hairs loose, with music of the 60s n 70s played with full blast, even facing the open seas, could be heard far and wide, our dear friend Steven Chan had to “close” his ears.

    Before the concert proper, our Silverhairs had a wonderful time enjoying themselves, tucked in whatever they can at the MAKANSUTRA FOOD BAY, next to the Esplanade, interacting and making new friends among the Silverhairs.

    With the appearance of ANITA SARAWAK at the concert, the crowd went wild, she came close to the spectators’ stand to give an impromptu show, with audience participation.
