  3. Thanks Joyce & Andrew for selecting this new and beautiful section of the the Ponggol Riverside for our walk. Those continuing on towards the Halus Wetland will certainly be rewarded with a pleasant evening. There, as you stroll across the newly constructed lighted bridge of the Serangoon River you can catch a sunset view and see the new reservoir barrage. Some new eateries fronting the river will add to your enjoyment should you decide to have your dinner there, and make this outing a memorable one.

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriella

  19. EOs Joyce & Andrew

Thank you for planning & leading us on this enjoyable walk. I particularly like the extended walk to Lorong Halus Wetland – so beautiful by night.

Charles Wee, thanks again for waiting for me.

  20. Joyce and Andrew

Many thanks for introducing to us this ‘new’ part of Singapore which I did not know exist.

It was a nice cool walk.

It will be interesting to see the place again when it is fully developed.

  21. Thanks Joyce and Andrew for a very enjoyable walk. Special thanks to Charles Wee for waiting for a late arrival and Andrew for making sure we don’t walk away from the group, plus Pista Dinner at the Frienzie Bristo was good too.

Have a great week ahead everyone…cheers

  22. Hi SHCians

We had a splendid walk @ Punggol with mesmerising sceneries and nice weather.

Will look forward to the next walk.

Thks Joyce and team for their hard work!

  23. Hi all

So far I have only received the photos from Charles Wee and if there are no more photos to send to me I will uplaod these with mine over the weekend.

Please note that once the photos are uploaded I will not re-open this for any more additions because the procedure is not as simple as going in to add or delete a photo here and there. Member’s understanding would be much appreciated.

Two members had requested me not to post their photos (after I had happily taken all the photos half way through the walk) and now I have to try to remember who they are and seek out all their faces in the photos and delete them. Though I told them that I cannot guarantee that all their faces will be removed, they assured me that if the photos get posted, they will write in to get me to remove them…..waahhhhh am wondering do I need this ???? Perhaps in future I should leave the camera at home and get myself ‘shot’ for a change (pardon the pun hahahahaha)

I would like to remind members again that it is very dificult for anyone to remember who wants and who don’t want their faces to appear on the website. Also in a group outting it is very difficult for the photographer to isolate any particular person, so if you do not want to be photographed, please try to stay clear if you see anyone pointing the camera in your direction.

This save the photographer a lot of headaches and it also save those involved the time to check the photos to make sure that their faces are not in there….a win-win situation if I may add

  24. I thought this recent walk photo was kind of inspiring. Do you know who are the 8 people in the photograph, starting from the left? The walking EOs have made the event exciting and fun.

Who is that guy below the umbrella? He went with me to Myanmar.

    Terence Seah

  25. Hi Terence #48,

We were having a hard time matching the faces to the name list that we forgotten to take a group photo, aiyo….
But i know that’s Ivan (under the umbrella), the 1st registrant for this walk!

The participants were so spontaneous and weather was good, wish you were there too.

Thanks much to CharlesW, Judy and Sockie for the beautiful photos, ???

    Warmest regards,
    JoyceT

  26. Hi Joy,

Was too busy to log in the web since then after the last walk. Would like to thanks you and those member in walk team being searching for the nice places to share with us, other wise I will miss an opportunities to visit all the place with good scenery as don’t think so I will go by myself.
Wish to thanks Sokie for her effort to upload all event photograph to let us have the good memorize even after the gathering.

Looking forward to join in next walk if I could make it.

    Cheer

    Judy
