  1. This year is SilverHairsClub’s 9th anniversary. In conjunction with this occasion, we have our Thai member Sompho Homjumroon, whom some of you know when you are on our annual trips to Thailand.

I have asked Sompho to write us a song, and he has created one for us to celebrate this occasion. He is also a keen guitarist.

Let’s extend our thanks to Sompho, who lives 2 hours outside of Bangkok, in a province called Singburi for creating this song for us. Thanks Sompho.

  2. Hi Sompho,
How have you been? Still travelling and photographing? Hope to see you again one of these days. I have fond memories of my Chiangmai trip back in 2006.
And thank you Sompho for this song. I particularly like the 2nd verse.
Yes, we must not stop dreaming, believing, caring and sharing.

  3. It would be nice if we have our 9th anniversary celebration. We keep the ideas and options open. If you have an idea, let me know your thoughts here, or you can drop me an email. Crazy events are ok too.

  4. Hi Sompho
I may not have met you before but I have heard great things about you.
Thank you for the lovely song. The lyrics are very meaningful with a lovely tune. I hope to meet you someday if Terence organises another trip to Thailand.
    All the best to you.
    Cheers
    Carly

    1. Hi Caroline,

Sompho spoke to me that he would like a singer who can sing along with him. This way, he felt the “Silver Hair” can have a more powerful voice.
Keep this in mind, I shall try to piece this together.

  5. Hi everyone
First of all, I would like to thank Terence who challenged me to write this song. I’m so proud to do that.
I’m glad that the lyrics impressed some of you. I will not mention about my voice haha.
Hope we can play it together in Dec.

  6. Hi Terence,
It will be an honour if I am the chosen one to sing together with Sompho.
Looking forward to the fruition of this project.
    Cheers
    Carly

  7. just to say…
The Silver Hair song grows on you the more you listen to it. :) When I first heard it, I thought the beginning sounded familiar. Now, after listening to it umpteen times, I realize it sounds like ‘Country Road’. As the melody is folksy I think singing it as a round could be very nice.
How about singing it in Chinese? Add a bit of groove here and there, I think the Chinese version could sound more cool than the English. lol! just joking. ?:)

    1. Hi Jassmine,

Sure, if we have someone to sing the song in Chinese, we will do it. Meantime, Caroline Gee has volunteered to see this English song. Likely in December.

It is a nice gesture on the part of Sompho to compose and sing a song for us.
