System down this morning

Hi SHCians,

Sometime today, our system was down.  Members were not able to access the Posts or the comments.  The sytem is still not working as normal.  Our hosting company and software guys are attending to it.  I won’t be able to say why or how this happened until the problem is recified.

When it is up correctly, I shall inform you.

  1. Yes,I think this is a good idea. If you are able to access the SilverHairsClub as you had been able to do before, please tell me so that our software guys know the situation is getting better. Thank you.

  2. Thank you Admin, I can access the posts and comments now.
Able to lock in to the comments too.

Terence, the two monkeys or baboons as wallpaper created havoc maybe. Hahahaaa! But actually it is one and only monkey superimposed as two. It is a replica. Ingenious !

  3. Hi Admin,

System is up and running now.
You may want to take this opportunity to look at the part on posting topics.
My 2 attempts failed, when I clicked “save” or “submit for review”, one went completely missing and the other had the title intact but contents went missing.
Understand that others also had similar experiences.

  4. Hi Admin,

Yesterday I had trouble logging-in, during the morning. I tried again in the late afternoon, still cannot log in.

Now testing to see if my comment gets submitted.

Roger – I have experienced the problem that you’ve described, intermittently several months ago, when I was trying to post the Yunnan trip led by Feztus. I don’t have problem with submitting comments.

  5. Hi Roger #7,

Thanks for the feedback, I shall have the software guys look at it.

    LeePatrick #6,
I found the two monkeys talking with one another during the Padang trip. I guess you are not a zoologist or a vet; but I am sure if you look carefully, one is a boy and the other is a girl.

    Oi Cheng #5,
Monkeys are playful and mischievious at the same time. My software guys took the whole day to fix our forum. Before the end of the day, the monkeys just decided enough is enough, replace the fuse, flick the switch and the lights come on. Have fun.
