HUAT ah… Abundance of Wealth and Long Life

A Combinatorial Chinese New Year Tradition – is a festive ritual that brings families, relatives and friends together to invoke wishes for year ahead. A magical moment or bonding, “tossing up good fortune” – the higher they are mixed and lifted, the more prosperity it is intended to bring.

Coupled with the loud and joyous HUAT AH!!! – this colourful tossing is a boisterous Lunar New Year highlight with each ingredient has a symbolic, auspicious phrase to be exclaimed as it is added to the platter.

Wishing all SHC Members a HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR 2023…

Celebrating NDP from our HOME

Though limitations might mean a toned-down National Day this year, there are still a variety of ways we can celebrate and show our national pride at home, be it virtual and some gathering amongst families.

However, do try to minimize the numbers in group outings and also try to keep to the restrictions set to avoid potential exposure to the virus.

For gatherings with closed ones at home – most F&B Outlets can only open for takeaway and/or delivery during this period and as for dining-in do look out for the latest announcement.

Let your fingers do the walking and explore how you can bring NDP nearer to you. Click on the link to discover more… be it, to catch the moments in person or through live broadcasts over our coloured gogglebox and online platforms – a list of activities to be engaged through out your day.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY – 20 June 2021

No matter what our age are – our father is our role model and the connection is wonderfully complex.  Forging a strong father-child relationship can be hard work, but the lasting bond formed can make all our effort worthwhile…

Yet, another bouts of Covid-19 cases rising – let’s make this day a stay home day and show our dad that we love him for being who he is and for all that he had done for us…  I am sure that is the greatest gift of all… gratitude and affection.

Of coz, don’t forget to say “I love you, Dad!”
