Catherine Yeo – Profile

Yes I do agree with you that I am still pretty active (don’t forget I am still in my 40s  ahem!) You can say that I am making hay while the sun is still shining. All around, I have heard and come across people who have already passed on and the realisation of not knowing how long we are going to be on this earth has made me resolve to live life to the fullest.
Why do I want to join Silverhairs?  To make more friends I guess, to find people of the same interests. To give an example, I enjoy going for plays and concerts but have yet to find like-minded friends to do so with. What do I enjoy?  Dancing, plays & concerts, scrabble, walking etc… the list can go on but timing has to be right! haha
So if you would like me to be actively involved in SHC just tell me what I should do and send me an invitation for the next meeting.  Bye for now,

  1. Hello Catherine,
Going to concerts, musicals is something I have not done for a long long time, maybe because my interests in this area has not been kindled and also my existing friends are not concert goers. Perhaps I can join you and Anne Giri for a few of such activities.
    thanks

  2. Hi Catherine, Ann & Charles,

Oh, I love performances, dances and musicals. I used to go with my young daughter. Now she is a lady and has her own company. Let me know when you are planning to go next time, I would like to join you all. I can be reached online: kaushal@mrbeer-asia.com.sg or on phone: 94234640

  3. Hi Catherine

  4. Dear Ann, Charles, Kaushal and Susan,

My sincere apologies for this long overdue reply. I have not been logging on to the profiles column for a long time and did not know of your comments. Yes since all of us are fans of concerts and plays/musicals, perhaps we can organise to go together the next time something interesting comes up. Will keep in touch and thanks for writing. Hope to meet you gals and guys soon!

  5. Hello..,it is nice to hear that there are members who enjoyed concerts too! just to let u know that i personally like songs and music..I’ve been to Westlife, Michael Bolton, LOBO and the recent Smokie concerts. There are too many performance/concerts in town, somehow rather difficult to decide which concert to go too. Frankly, the concert tickets are rather expensive, i usually purchase the cheapest category..Do let me know if u are going for future concerts…I will join if i can/want too…. Cheers, clara

  6. Hi Catherine, Ann, Charles, Kaushal, Susan, and Clara,

I am a brand new member, a retired teacher, aged 64 and my wife, a housewife, Kristy, aged 45, go for concerts frequently. However, we only go for free concerts at the Esplanade and NUS – cheapscape! If you are keen, we will inform you whenever there is a free programme coming up. Would you like that? You can contact us at qsookee2@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from all of you soon.

    Robert

  7. Hi Robert,

Some two years ago, I heard there is a regular end-month weekend concert performance at the Esplanade.

When you are planning to go for one, announce your going on this forum. I am sure you will get positive response. Let me know too, since you are a regular.

I really think this is an inspiring activity for SilverHairs.
