We will reach a higher ground of the Bedok Reservoir where you can have a paranomic view of the reservoir.

Whole walking trail takes about 2hrs.  At the end of the walk, we can have fellowship with dinner in one of the many eateries along Beok Reservoir Rd.

  1. Hi Veron/Mary T/Christina C/Charles W/Jeffrey

    Yippee! familiar territory.

Pls register me for this walk.

    Many thanks.

    Warmest Regards

There is a carpark at the eastern end of Bedok Reservoir. SHCians who drive can go directly to the reservoir.

Those going by public transport may take take SBS No 228 from Bedok Interchange, which is next to Bedok MRT Station.

    Just my two cents,

    Ron Koh

  3. Hmmm, I noticed that most of the walks are held after 4 pm. Will there be one in the morning in the near future, perhaps?

    Regards

    Norhayati

  4. Hi Norhayati,
I myself love walking in the early hours of the morning before the sun rises, but not many people want to get out of their comfortable beds to do that, hee hee. Even I find it difficult, so the late afternoons walks seem to be the best option.
Besides, we can build up an appetite for dinner, haha and put back what we lost ;-)
    Will you be joining us?

  5. Hi MaryC,

Would be nice if we could have our morning walk together and have breakfast after that. Unfortunately however, I’m at Sembawang and you’re at the other end, Pasir Ris.

Would love to but I’m afraid I can’t join you guys on this day. Anyway, you all have a good and leisurely walk.

    Regards

    Norhayati

  6. Sounds like a lot of fun going for walks. I am not familiar with that area and since I am a topo queen, may lost my way, Could anyone give me clear directions on how to get there from Serangoon Gardens? I would love to get some group exercise and check out all these new park connectors. In fact I kicked myself for missing the last one.
    Best/Lesley

  7. Hi Lesley #18

If you are going by your own transport, I am unable to guide you.

However if you take public transport, you can take a bus from Serangoon Garden Way to Yio Chu Kang Road and change to bus number 70M which will be travelling to Marina Centre. At the Paya Leber MRT Station, you alight from the bus to take a train travelling along East West line. The train will take you to Kembangan MRT Stn where you will alight and meet the other members.

I am also taking this route, if you do not mind, we can take to same bus and train.

    Regards

    King Seng

  8. Lesley, Kembangan Mrt Stn is situated along Upper Changi Rd very close to Changi. So if you drive from S’goon Gdns, take Lor VChuan, into CTE, then PIE and exit at Eunos, turn right into Jln Eunos, then left into Upp Changi Rd and a short drive away on yr left, is the Mrt Stn which you cant miss. You can park along the side-lanes.

If you go by bus, you cd follow King’s guide. Alternatively, if you want to take only 2 buses, you can take service 73 to Braddel Rd, cross the road and then take service 28 which takes you to Kambagan mrt stn too. Time in the travel (excluding bus waiting time) is about 50 minutes.

  9. Hi VeronW,
    fyi,

  10. Hi Christina,

I would like to join in your walk BUT alas will not be back in time from our Viet tour.

  12. Hi V Wong

  13. Hi V Wong

A thousand apologies for not turning up today. I forgot about it this morning and made arrangements to go to JB with my sister. Got stuck in the jam for two hours and everything we had to do was delayed. Could not make it back on time when I remembered about it.

Will try to take more Gingko supplements. Promise :)

    Warmest Regards

  14. Hi EO’s,
Thanks for organising another successful walking exercise. I enjoyed the company too.
Special thanks to Christina Chan, who, coaxed me and so thoughtfully helped me down the steep slope and across the drain to the reservoir . Sorry to be such a scaredy cat.
Well, the walk ended as usual, with a meal. This time round, it was followed by a ‘hunt’ for dessert, which found some of us at the Bedok Central food centre, putting back more than we burnt, hehehe.
Looking forward to yet another walk, perhaps somewhere south?

  15. Hi EOs

    Cheers

    Hi Caroline
We were looking out for you.
Miss one, there will be another.
When I am confident enough, may organize a night walk
from 6pm. So, keep your national day torch for the occasion. Comes in handy.
    Best Wishes
