Kahlua Irish cream – another cure for headaches

Over the last two years, many of us have enjoyed the fun and culture of the SilverHairsClub.  And, many have found new friends, with new activities and interests.  Unfortunately, and even though I have been in the newspaper media business for a long time, I have learnt that words can be harsh and misinterpreted, even among over 45s.  Some members have used SHC’s communication channel to insinuate and insult other members.  Obviously, this was not what SHC had intended in the first place.  However, with the open internet media, inflammatory comments as not unusual in a public forum.

As long as discussions stay out of politics, sex, race or religion, besides direct selling and MLM, the administrator will, within reason, allow all discussions or debate to proceed without interruption.  Therefore, I encourage forum members to be sensitive; and not allow other members to make you excited.  There are many fun SHCians around us.

I had just bought a bottle of Kahlua Irish cream at the airport.  Anybody likes to join me for a Kahlua evening after the gathering on Wed 4 Jun.  Bring your own plastic cup.  Another great cure for headaches.  You are encouraged to give your views here.  Avoid pointing at specific persons, unless you are directing at me.  I wont get angry.

  1. Hi all alcoholics,

I was wondering what drink I should buy at the airport this afternoon. Suddenly I craved for Irish coffee; and thought I should buy a bottle of Kahlua Irish coffee. I did. Now, I am thinking of how or where to have this drink.

  2. Hi Terence,

Your bottle of Kahlua comes in very timely….can I join you by bringing along an extra bottle of liquor, and a few of us adjourn somewhere to celebrate my b’day?

    Cheers!
    Sue

  4. Hi Terence,

Will join you after Han’s. I also wonder where we can adjourn to.

Too much is happening on the SHC websites. Need us to help you to unwind and drown all the worries and cares and loneliness!

  5. Hi Terence

Can I have some Kahlua too but at HANS? Am also having bad headache after going through your website lately.

Lina is correct. Those panadol you took won’t work on you..ha.ha.. Better take your Kahlua.

    Gdnitz.

  6. Hi Terence and all Hic, hics,
I am between the devil and the deep blue sea.
Kahlua is one of my favourites. So do I Yoga or drink with other ‘alcoholics’……dilemma, dilemma!!!!!
    See you all later…..Jie

  7. Dear Terence

For Irish coffee, I recommend you to have a taste at GLORIA JEAN’S COFFEES, at CHANGI AIRPORT T2 Arrival Hall, when you touch down this afternoon. If it is too rush, another joint at No 8, Shenton Way #01-16-19 is nearby to the HAN’S. You will be refreshed even after a sip, B4 the afternoon sessions.

  8. Dear Terence

I love my Bailey’s Irish Cream.

May I have a sip of your Kahlua Irish cream and see if I fall in love with that too.

Many thanks and see you all tonight.

  9. Hi Terence,

This is totally unrelated to your post so my apologies for borrowing this thread. Just need to know how I can remove all the headings on the left side of the home page which is kind of covering some of the latest posts. Have waited and waited but don’t seem to find anyone else complaining of this (or I may have missed it I guess) so here I am. Would you care to enlighten me?

  10. Hi Terence,

It’s was a splendid night at Han’s for the monthly gatherings!

After Han’s we did decided to adjourne to Scorebot. Had four helping of Kahlua and tinkle of Bailey liqueur and two bottle of Heinehne beer. Bread n curry was served!

Discussion was on relating to catwalk n dog crawl and the topic that hit the roof was an orgy night at Changi Beach Club!

I think i was floating when I drove home, the journney was slow and steady! I think I in for an erotic dreams, nite nite!

    Danzzzz!!!

  11. Hi Dan,

No wonder you were floating when you drove home. You had 3 kahluas too many. The 3 was supposed to be for Susan, Ah Nee and I. Ha ha. Glad you had a ‘hit the roof’ time.

  12. Hi everybody,

My apology for saying we can go for a Kahlua night, after the Hans evening. I sought of chicken out with the overwhelming response during the evening. So I had to cancel the night out.

However, as the evening came to a close, those who remained thought, hmm, can go finish the Kahlua Irish cream, as numbers were smaller. So, we went out. Thanks to Dan Huang for contributing a Baileys Irish cream and Ronald Lee for a pack of beer.

Will get a few more bottles of Kahlua the next time.

  13. Hi Yoon Chin,

I don’t believe I have had the pleasure of meeting you yet but thanks a million for your prompt reply.

I tried it and it works and it is really so simple (now I am embarassed) but like they say – never too old to learn!

Hope to meet you one of these days !
