The August gathering will be a refreshing change. It will be held on a Sunday early morning. Some of you obviously have your Sunday morning activity, while for some, a Sunday may be your marketing or house-cleaning day. But, we have to give this timing a try; and see if it works for most of us.

It will be a good try, an early Sunday morning outing, nothing better than EAST COAST PARKWAY at the newly open BURGER KING outlet along the sea-front, very spacious. At 7.00AM will have no problem in “chopping” the place by SHCians early birds, who may come ready for breadfast, swimming, roller-blading, cycling, jogging and brisk-walking, on top of interacting among members.

Thank you for the suggestions. Unlikely I shall use your recommendations for this Aug gathering, as I do prefer somewhere near MRT or public transport. But surely we would use your recommendations. Although I am usually not in Singapore on a Sunday, we must try a Sunday, and see what kind of attendance we will get. All of us know the attendance rate if we hold it on Wed or Thurs.
We need to try other places, and build a collection of places.
Steven, I have not gone to the Kopitiam at Clarke Quay, hope that is a good place. Let’s take another week or two for ideas to come in.

I have received a number of request to shift the Sat/Sun 16/17 Aug 2008 event to another date because there are other concurrent events ie the cycling and the concert.
Maybe the numbers when spread out will be smaller, but we do need to test out the ECP for overnight camping and the Sunday morning gathering. Maybe by next year, all our Sats and Suns will be full. Got to look for new ideas how to overcome this good problem.
