  1. hi Lin chuah hear from bengwi that you are member of laguna
golf club don’t seem to hve met you at the club are you a
golf or social member? Hope to meet you on the 9 feb game.

  2. Hi Janet,

    “Gong Xi Fai Cai”

Yes, I am a golfing member of Laguna Club. I seldom go
to Laguna and I hardly golf there partly my regulars
are from other clubs. Now that I know you are oso a
Laguna member,we can arrange to play a game when the
World Classic course is ready in the next few months.

9/Feb game has been rescheduled to 23/Feb. Are you aware
    of it?

    Lin

  3. Hi Diana

I m replying on Lin’s behalf as she can’t sign in. The ox had chewed up her password while roaming in her house.

We apologise we can’t accept any more pax. Nevertheless we hope to see you at the same occasion next year. All the best to you.

    Hi Karen

There’s no big shot taking up whole table but all “hole” tables are seated with big shots. The total number of tables remain at 6. Guess one of them has to sit on some ox’s lap.

  4. Hi Lin, Yew Kwong, Shirleen,

6 tables of SHCians are definitely very excited, and just can’t wait for tomorrow’s lunch. I am bringing one bottle of Black Label whiskey and one bottle of Korean soju, and hopefully, add to the excitement.

I tried to get some ideas on what’s in store tomorrow, but that person just refused to talk.

Have fun, and see you tomorrow.

  5. Hi EOs , Terence /others,

Thanks for organising this meaningful “Lo Hei”.
I believe all of us are v. happy with the food and service and have a great ime interacting together.

Terence, you look “great” today. You remind me of
    Wong Fei Hoong.

  6. Lin, Yew Kwong and Shirleen.

Yesterday’s CNY gathering was very enjoyable indeed. Thank you all for a great time!
The food was good and very substantial and the whisky…., I wonder if it was responsible for my cheeky mood? Hehe.

The skit was so hilarious, it had us all roaring with laughter. I must say Terence looked very ‘feminine’ and ‘pretty’ with his cute hairband and fan.
Tim was leaping about like a real lion dancer and was it Abel, holding Tim’s tail? Hahaha. Pity they didn’t come off the stage to dance on the floor. We would have given them hong baos and got Tim to peel some oranges!
All the other participants, sorry for not remembering their names,(getting old lah) also did a great job of providing the rousing ‘music’ and rhythm for the dancers.

I think many didn’t want the day to end so some adjourned for a game of cards at YK’s place.
This was followed by dinner, no, not at YK’s place. We couldn’t do that to him. He had been so hospital already, putting up with our noise, etc. hahaha.

Wait, that wasn’t the end of the day. We, 25 of us to be exact, decided to go dancing! And did we all dance! Don’t know the steps also can. Just shake! I surrendered at 1130 pm but the others stayed on till I don’t know how late, or rather, how early the next morning.

It was a day of total fun! Thank you EO’s again for organising such a FUNTASTIC

  7. Hi EOs,

From the post I read, the group really had a fun reunion lunch, followed by jam at nite. I really regret that I should not op out but too bad, happened to be my grandson’s full month this weekend.

Anyway, 3 cheers to the EOs!

  8. Hi Attendees

Thanks for the big support you guys had given to this Event, Tim Liu n Thomas Loh for coming up to the stage to sing the CNY song, my co-EO, YK n Shirleen for sharing the load, Sockie for photographing the occasion (really fun till you see the photos) n those who came on stage to perform the Lion Dance (we could have get the performers to dance around all the tables n collect ang pows).

Lin (by YK on Lin’s behalf as she is still unable log it)

  9. Hi Guys

Coming to my place to continue the session wasn’t in the program. As the reluctant lot refused to leave the restaurant but wanting to continue with a card playing session there behind closed door makes us worried. So when they suggested adjourning to my place to continue the celebration, I readily agreed. Glad I did otherwise we could have landed in the Police Station.

If you have missed out joining them, there are always other times. Glad they went off with fond memories although there were losers and big winners.

Thank you very much for warming my place with your presence. The last one happened some years ago.

  10. Well. Mary-C, actually I wanted to prance on the floor and under all the tables where I could see and peel more than oranges but the EOs must have been tipped off and so I lost my chance to a abalone feast……….

Interesting, the waitress at our table, who overheard our sharing of 4D numbers, said she was 44 (born 65) and that we shd combine age-year of birth for luck. I was born in 56 and so it was 5644, 4456. As it were, 1 4D consolation number opened that very day was 4465, the reverse of 5644.

I wd like to thank the EOs and everyone for finding time to celebrate CNY together and have all successfully made it one that was not short of noise & fun, and brought back the days when we were all so full of mischief & pranks.
