FRIENDSHIP FORCE INTERNATIONAL

My wife and I belong to an organization called Friendship Force International, a  non profit international cultural organization, which was founded with a simple mission to create an environment in which personal friendships are established across the barriers that separate people. It is active in more than 60 countries, promoting friendship and goodwill through an extensive programme of homestay exchanges.                                                                              

In Singapore, Friendship Force Singapore was founded on 19 June 1996. To date, we have sent Ambassadors to International Festivals and Conferences to Turkey, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, U.S.A., South Africa, Japan & Philippines. We have hosted Ambassadors from U.S.A., U.K.,New Zealand, Columbia, Japan, Brazil, S. Africa, Germany, Italy & Bogota.

    I have a rented room (in a really old rustic bungalow in Serangoon garden, very quiet and quaint for those who really like to go back to 1950s living) available in June along with a car for an exchange program, that I am thinking off.

    I am interested too. Went thru’ the website, but it was not too detailed.
    I have a condo in M’cca right by the Straits of Malacca. Would like to know how this organisation works. Count me in when you have a discussion on Friendshipforce.

  9. Thank you for indicating your interest in Friendship Force. I was hoping to tell you more about it at the Monthly Meeting of SHC on 17/6. However, due to a previous engagement, I am unable to be there. Apologies.

    Instead of waiting for the July Meeting, I would like to invite you and anyone else interested to the S’pore Recreation Club(SRC), opposite the City Hall MRT, on Sat. 20th June at 5.00 p.m.

    Please let me know who’s coming.

    I visited the friendshipforce website and am interested to find out more about the organisation.
    One question. Is reciprocal homestay a compulsory part of the activities?
